KALKULASI KECEPATAN, DAYA MOTOR DAN GAYA TARIK BELT CONVEYOR KAPASITAS 200 TON/JAM

INTISARI Belt conveyor merupakan salah satu alat angkut material yang paling banyak dipakai di industri. Alat ini dapat digunakan pada pabrik semen, batubara, dan lainnya. Kapasitas angkut belt conveyor bisa berbeda-beda antara satu dengan yang lain, tergantung pada jenis material yang diangkut, lebar belt, daya motor yang digunakan yang akan mempengaruhi kecepatan belt dan jarak pemindahan. Pada analisa, PT Indonesia Putra Pratama Cilegon ingin menaikkan kapasitas menjadi 200 ton per jam pada seri belt conveyor jaw primary. Oleh karena itu, dalam projek ini untuk menemukan kapasitas sebenarnya dan kecepatan pada belt conveyor. Pada kondisi sekarang, kapasitas belt conveyor adalah 133,06 ton per jam. Kecepatan belt adalah 0,616 m/s dan daya motor 11 kW. Pada analisa ini untuk mendapatkan target perusahaan yaitu 200 ton per jam. Hasil perhitungannya adalah kecepatan belt 0,926 m/s dan daya motor 37,57 kW. Kesimpulannya pada projek ini adalah untuk merekomendasikan pada perusahaan untuk mengganti belt conveyor mereka untuk menemukan hasil perhitungan.

ABSTRACT Belt conveyor is one of the famous material handling equipment in industry around the world. It can be used to transport cement, coal and others. The capacity of belt conveyor depend on the width of the belt, motor power, distance, material to be transported and the velocity of the belt. As a case study, PT Indonesia Putra Pratama Cilegon want to increase its capacity to 200 ton per hour belt conveyor's jaw primary series. Hence, the aim of this project is to find the real capacity and velocity of those belt conveyor's. At the current condition, the belt conveyor's capacity are 133.06 ton per hour. The velocity of the belt is 0.616 m/s and 11 kW motor power. The aim of this study is to gain the company's target, i.e, 200 tons per hour. The calculations results are 0.926 m/s in the belt's speed and 37.57 kW motor power. The conclution of this project is a recommendation for the company to replace their belt conveyor to meet the calculation's result.
