Penulis memilih Tema Proses Penangan Kasus Narkotika Dalam Ruang Lingkup Pengadilan karena akhir - akhir ini banyak media masa maupun masyarakat mengeluhkan semakin maraknya peredaran Narkotika di seluruh wilayah Indonesia, sampai - sampai di jatuhkannya vonis pidana mati bagi para pengedar Narkotika serta obat - obat terlarang lainnya. Tujuan yang bersifat subyektif berkaitan dengan arti penting pelaksanaan Praktik Kerja Lapangan bagi penulis yaitu sebagai upaya untuk memenuhi syarat kelulusan dari Program Diploma Hukum Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gajah Mada. Proses pelimpahan berkas persidangan di Pengadilan Negeri antara lain melalui tahapan sebagai berikut : a. Ketua Pengadilan menunjuk Hakim yang akan menyidangkan perkara yang bersangkutan, b. Proses Persidangan c. Pemeriksaan d. Kesimpulan e. Berita Acara f. Putusan
