Meningkatnya minat pada kucing peliharaan telah memacu masyarakat untuk mengoptimalkan penampilan reproduksi spesies ini. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen penanganan partus yang benar pada kucing di Laboratorium Klinik Hewan Jogja. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pencatatan data pasien pada kartu ambulator pasien kucing bunting periode 19 Januari sampai 22 maret 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyusunan tugas akhir ini adalah dengan metode observasi, wawancara dan praktik langsung. Penanganan partus pada Laboratorium Klinik Hewan Jogja adalah dengan menempatkan induk dalam kandang lalu mengamati setiap stadium partus, Tahap-tahap pada fase partus adalah tahap pertama yaitu tahap pengejanan, tahap kedua atau tahap pengeluaran fetus, dan tahap ketiga atau tahap pengeluaran plasenta. Pada saat persiapan partus alat-alat yang disiapkan di Lab Klinik Hewan Jogja sebagai berikut : gunting, kapas, pinset, alkohol, kain lap bersih, kandang dan inkubator, pertolongan pembersihan plasenta serta pemotongan tapi pusat pada anak kucing penempatan anak kucing dalam inkubator pemberian kolostrum induk dan pemberian susu pengganti untuk induk yang tidak mau menyusui

The increasing interest towards domestic cats as well as home cats has made veterinary trying to optimize the reproductions performance of this species. The aim of this final assignment is to find out the correct management of delivery handling towards cats at the Laboratory of Jogja Animal Clinic. The datas was taken by the record keeping of the pregnant cats patients from the ambulators card in the period of January 19th unti March 22nd 2015. The method used in the preparation of this final project is the method of observation, interviews and direct practice. Delivery handling at the Laboratory of Jogja Animal Clinic was to put the mother into the cage and by observing the every deliverys stage , the stages of deliverys phases are: uterine contractions, fetus excretion and placenta excretion. At the delivery preparation, the tools that was set up at the Laboratory of Jogja Animal Clinic were: scissor, cotton, tweezers, alcohol, clean rag, cage and incubator, placentas cleaning helping and cutting the navels tip of the baby cat, putting the baby cat into the incubator, giving main colostrum and giving milk if the mother cat wouldnt nurse.
