PEMAHAMAN DAN PENERAPAN AJARAN KAWRUH JIWA KI AGENG SURYOMENTARAM TENTANG RAOS PERSATUAN DALAM KEHIDUPAN SEHARI-HARI: STUDI KASUS DI SEBUAH DUSUN DI KABUPATEN BANTUL

Keanekaragaman budaya selain telah menciptakan lingkungan yang indah, juga memiliki potensi kesalahpahaman yang dapat menyebabkan kebingungan, kemarahan dan meningkatkan eskalasi permusuhan. Adalah warga Dusun Balong, sebuah padusunan kecil di Kecamatan Sewon, Kabupaten Bantul, para warganya menerapkan raos persatuan dari ajaran Ki Ageng Suryomentaram. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mencari model raos persatuan di masyarakat Dusun Balong sehingga dapat dijadikan model bagi daerah-daerah lain dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan menggunakan metode penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada para subyek dan informan sebagai sumber data dan observasi partisipan maupun non partisipan secara live in. Sumber data lain adalah written documentsdan unwritten documents. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, rasa persatuan bagi warga Balong dipahamai sebagai tiadanya sekat dan kasta, guyubrukundankegotongroyongan. Kedua, penerapan dari rasa persatuan di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari oleh warga dusun Balong tercermin dalam dua penerapan, yaitu (1) penerapan di keluarga berupa musyawarah dan tidak memaksakan kehendak, dan (2) penerapan di masyarakat, berupa perilaku gotong royong. Ketiga, manfaat dari rasa persatuan yaitu urip dadi sugih (hidup menjadi (kaya), urip dadi entheng (hidup menjadi ringan), hubungan antarindividu menjadi tidak kaku, menanamkan rasa kita tidak bisa hidup tanpa orang lain, menanamkan rasa empati, dan beban pemerintah menjadikan ringan.Dan keempat, kondisi psikologis para warga dari diterapkannya roas persatuan adalah melahirkan rasa enak dan nyaman, sumeleh, ora kemrungsung, rukun, dan tenteram.
The cultural diversity is one of the most important topics in the world today. Beside it has been creating a beautiful environment, cultural diversity has also been having potensial misconceptions that can lead to confusion, anger, and escalation of hostilities. There are residents of Bangun Rasa, a small village in Bantul, who are applying sense of unity from Ki Ageng Suryomentaram teachings. The aim of this research is to understand the sense of unity in Bangun Rasa village so it can serve as a model of a unified society with qualitative approach and case study method. Data collections have been done by interviewing subjects and informants as data resources and observing either participants or non-participants directly. The other data resources are from both written and unwritten documents. The result of this research is: Firstly, the sense of unity for/among Bangun Rasa residents would be comprehended as "Rasa Sama" (the absence of walls or bulkhead and caste between one another), the cooperativeness, the sense of mutual need to each others, golong gilig (the only thought, desire, and action), and to have a harmony life between one resident to another. Secondly, the application of sense of unity in daily life by Bangun Rasa residents is reflected into two implementations, i.e. (1) Implementation in family in the form of parley and not to obtrude anyone or in other words, not imposing the will of others, and (2) Implementation in the public/society, in the form of mutual cooperation behaviour. Thirdly, the benefit of unity sense is urip dadi sugih (to become rich in life), urip dadi entheng (to get an ease in life; life becomes lighter), the relationships among individuals become unrigid, and to instill a sense of we cannot live without others, to instill a sense of empathy, and to ease the governments burden. And fourth, the residents psychological condition after the implementation of sense of unity is comfortable feelings,calm state of mind (sumeleh), and they live in peaceful life (tentrem).
