Kebutuhan informasi yang lengkap dalam sebuah layanan kesehatan sangatlah penting untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang tepat, cepat dan aman. Berbagai layanan kesehatan memiliki keberagaman jenis informasi yang saling mendukung namun masih tersebar pada layanan independen. Keberadaan Sistem Informasi Laboratorium yang mendukung proses bisnis dan komunikasi dengan instrumen diagnostik berperan dalam percepatan pelayanan di laboratorium. Sedangkan Sistem Informasi Rumah Sakit sebagai sistem dengan cakupan yang lebih luas membutuhkan informasi dari laboratorium untuk kepentingan bagian-bagian rumah sakit lain khususnya berhubungan dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium. Integrasi dilakukan antara kedua sistem menggunakan kerangka Enterprise Application Integration dengan message broker/adapter dan metode transfer berkas. Integrasi yang dilakukan dapat memangkas proses pendaftaran dan pengisian hasil yang berjalan pararel. Berkas berisi kumpulan informasi dibangkitkan pada pendaftaran HIS, disimpan pada repositori, dibaca middleware order, dimasukkan menjadi pemeriksaan baru pada LIS. Setelah melalui proses pengerjaan sampel, berkas hasil pemeriksaan dibangkitkan oleh LIS, disimpan pada repositori dan dibaca oleh HIS sebagai hasil pemeriksaan yang valid. Integrasi dapat meningkatkan kecepatan pelayanan serta memberikan informasi yang lebih cepat untuk kepentingan strategis rumah sakit. The completeness of full information in a health service is essential to support accurate, quick and safe decision making. Health services have diverse types of information which are mutually supportive but still scattered on independent services. The existence of the Laboratory Information System that supports the laboratory business processes and communicates with diagnostic instruments plays important role in service acceleration. While the Hospital Information System as a system with wider coverage requires information from the laboratory for the other departments, particulary related to laboratory tests. The integration of both systems using Enterprise Application Integration framework with message brokers/adapters and file transfer method has been done. Integration has succeded not only to simplify the two registration processes and two result processes that run parallel into two single processes. Text file contains of patient and sample information is generated by HIS registration, saved in repository, read by middleware, translated and inserted as new sample and test in LIS. After the examination finished, text file is generated and saved in repository, read by HIS and translated as valid test result. Integration has increased the speed of laboratory service in turnaround time and providing faster information for hospital strategic needs.
