The Process of Fan Fiction Novel Production at Araska Publisher Yogyakarta

Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses produksi novel fan fiction. Hal ini dilakukan dengan mengamati penerbit Araska yang bertempat di Pinang Merah Residence Kav. 14, jalan Imogiri Barat, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini berfokus pada proses produksi novel fan fiction yang diterapkan pada penerbit Araska. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi lapangan dan studi pustaka. Dalam proses studi lapangan, penulis mengamati proses produksi novel fan fiction dan mewawancarai pemilik, staf administrasi, para editor, para lay outer, dan kepala produksi penerbit Araska. Dalam proses studi pustaka, penulis mempelajari buku-buku dan materi dari internet. Berdasarkan pengamatan, proses produksi novel fan fiction memiliki dua tahap utama, yaitu persiapan naskah dan proses percetakan. Tahap pertama dibagi lagi menjadi beberapa bagian; pencarian naskah, pemilihan naskah dan proses editing tahap pertama, tahap pemilihan akhir, editing tahap kedua, mendesain lay out, dan mendesain cover. Tahap kedua, yautu tahap penyetakan naskah dibagi menjadi; grouping booklet, penyetakan, pelipatan booklet, penyatuan booklet, binding dan pemotongan, dan tahap pembungkusan.

This graduating paper aims to reveal the process of fan fiction novel production. It situates Araska publisher which is located at Pinang Merah Residence Kav. 14, Imogiri Barat street, Bantul, Yogyakarta as the object of study. The research focuses on the process of fan fiction novel production at Araska publisher. Method of collecting data are field study and library research. In the process of field study, the writer observed the process of fan fiction production and interviewed owner, administration staff, editors, lay outers, and the head of production staff of Araska publisher. For the library research, the writer studies books and materials from internet. According to the research, the process of fan fiction novel production has two major stages: they are preparing the script and printing the script into books. The first stage is divided into steps; looking for the script, choosing and editing I, final choosing, editing II, lay out designing, and cover designing. The second stage, printing the script into books are grouping the booklets, printing, folding the booklets, assembling the booklets, binding and cutting, and wrapping.
