Tuntutan jaman yang serba modern terkait dengan teknologi adalah user mampu mendapatkan akses dimanapun dan kapanpun secara real time atau terusmenerus. Salah satu tantangan dalam komunikasi data secara mobile adalah pergerakan dan komputasi data ketika berpindah ke jaringan yang lain. Solusi dari masalah ini adalah Mobile IP. Mobile IP adalah sebuah teknologi yang bisa melakukan fungsi untuk tidak merubah alamat IP meskipun berpindah dari suatu jaringan dengan jaringan lainnya. Dengan adanya Mobile IP membuat mobilitas dapat semakin mudah untuk dikenali ke level protokol yang lebih tinggi seperti TCP dan untuk meminimalisasikan perubahan infrastruktur internet yang ada.

The demand of today’s modernization related to technology is the user able to access wherever and whenever in real time or continuously. One of the challenges in data communication in mobile computing and data movement is when switching to a different network. The solution on this problem is the Mobile IP. Mobile IP is a technology that can perform the function not to change IP address while moving from one network to another network. The Mobile IP can make easier to identity to the mobility to higher level protocols such as TCP and to minimize changes to the existing internet infrastructure.
