Pabrik Kelapa Sawit PT. Inecda Plantation adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang argoindustri pengolahan kelapa sawit menjadi CPO (Crude Palm Oil. Proses pengolahan kelapa sawit terdapat beberapa tahapan proses yang memerlukan kebutuhan energi. Diperlukan perhitungan agar pada beban maksimum karena menentukan dan mengetahui efisiensi dari kapasitas daya yang dihasilkan pada PLTU (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap) dalam melakukan proses produksi pengolahan kelapa sawit PT. Inecda Plantation terhadap kapasitas beban yang dibutuhkan dalam proses produksi. Hasil pengamatan kegiatan di PT. Inecda Plantation memiliki sistem pembangkit tenaga listrik sendiri (PLTU) dengan kapasitas daya listrik sebesar 800 KW, keluaran steam setelah melalui turbin dimanfaatkan untuk proses perebusan buah sawit dengan menggunakan steam bertekanan tinggi. Penelitian mengenai kebutuhan daya listrik PT. Inecda Plantation ini dilakukan dari tanggal 1 April – 30 April 2013 dengan sampel data selama 30 hari yang menghasilkan rata-rata daya listrik maksimum sebesar 667,5 kW selama proses produksi pengolahan kelapa sawit berlangsung, dimana besar kecilnya sebuah sistem pembangkit disesuaikan dengan besar kecilnya kapasitas produksi industri tersebut.
