Penelitian “Keragaman Makna Politik dan Kekuasaan Cerpen „Sepotong Bibir paling Indah di Dunia‟ dalam Kumpulan Cerpen Sepotong Bibir Paling Indah Di Dunia: Kajian Semiotik Roland Barthes” dilatarbelakangi oleh dominasi gaya bahasa personifikasi, dan estetika kekerasan yang dimaksudkan untuk menimbulkan kesan-kesan parodi. Kesan parodi bertujuan sebagai ungkapan sindiran atas politik dan kekuasaan pemimpin Indonesia. Sindiran mengenai politik dan kekuasaan pemimpin Indonesia yang terdapat dalam cerpen “Sepotong Bibir Paling Indah di Dunia” diceritakan dengan menggunakan simbol-simbol yang saling berhubungan. Simbol-simbol tersebut merupakan sarana untuk menciptakan cerita yang dramatis dan memiliki nilai estetis mengenai permasalahan politik dan kekuasaan dalam cerpen ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keragaman makna politik dan kekuasaan melalui penjabaran leksia dan pemaknaan lima kode Barthes. Penggunaan teori tersebut dianggap paling relevan untuk menafsirkan simbol-simbol dan makna cerpen karena menjangkau secara detail keragaman makna yang terdapat dalam teks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa cerpen “Sepotong Bibir Paling Indah di Dunia” memiliki leksia-leksia yang dominan tentang permasalahan politik dan kekuasaan di Indonesia. Beberapa leksia-leksia yang dominan tentang permasalahan politik dan sosial tersebut ditunjukkan melalui beberapa perspektif, yaitu perspektif rakyat dan perspektif penguasa. Hubungan dua perspektif tersebut menunjukkan sebuah tema besar sebagai inti atau pusat cerita, yaitu kritik terhadap politik dan kekuasaan pemimpin Indonesia. Penggunaan estetika kekerasan terhadap sepotong bibir menegaskan fungsi dan peran bibir yang berkedudukan sebagai pusat cerita, tokoh yang mendominasi, memiliki kekuasaan dan representasi tokoh penting dalam politik pemerintahan Indonesia. Simbol-simbol yang terdapat dalam cerpen tersebut secara keseluruhan memiliki keragaman makna politik dan kekuasaan serta terdapat beberapa unsur pengetahuan. Berbagai macam aspek seperti budaya, bahasa, konsep estetika, ideologi, filsafat hidup, sejarah, epistemologi, linguistik, semiotik, dan psikologi merupakan konstruksi yang menjadi petanda kode-kode dalam cerpen tersebut

Impression parody intended as an expression of political satire on power and Indonesian leaders. These symbols are a means to create a dramatic story and have aesthetic value on the issue of politics and power in this short story. This study aims to reveal the diversity of political meaning and power through translation and interpretation lexia Barthes five codes. The use of these theories are considered most relevant to interpret the meaning of the symbols and stories for reaching out in detail the diversity of meaning contained in the text . Results of this study showed that the short story \\"Sepotong Bibir Paling Indah di Dunia\\" has a dominant lexia - lexia about politics and power issues in Indonesia. Some lexia - lexia dominant on the political and social problems is shown through several perspectives, the perspective and the perspective of the ruler of the people. The relationship two perspectives show a big theme as the core or center of the story, the critique of power politics and the Indonesian leader.
