Beton merupakan salah satu bahan konstruksi yang sangat penting, baik dalam bidang struktur, transportasi, dan hidro. Beton ini didapatkan dengan cara mencampur agregat halus (pasir), agregat kasar (kerikil), air, dan semen Portland. Oleh karena itu, beton yang akan digunakan nanti harus benar-benar mempunyai kualitas yang sangat baik dan sesuai standar yang sudah ditetapkan. Sifat baik beton yang dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan konstruksi adalah kuat tekan beton yang tinggi. Kuat tekan yang diperoleh dari proses pengerasan antara air dan semen yang berlangsung dalam waktu yang panjang. Adanya variasi kekuatan beton tersebut, maka diperlukan pengawasan terhadap mutu agar diperoleh kuat tekan beton yang hampir seragam sesuai mutu yang dipesan oleh customer. PT. SCG Readymix Indonesia melakukan pengawasan terhadap mutu beton dengan mengambil adukan kemudian dibuat benda uji. Secara umum, proses pengawasan mutu meliputi : materials analysis, production, handling and curing, testing dan evaluation. Pada tahap evaluation beton siap pakai selama bulan Maret – Juni 2013 untuk grade K 225, K 250, dan K 300 semuanya telah memenuhi syarat SNI

Therefore, the concrete that will be used later should really have a very good quality and standards that have been defined. The variation of the concrete strength, it is necessary to control the quality of concrete compressive strength in order to obtain the most appropriate uniform quality ordered by the customer. PT. SCG Readymix Indonesia to supervise the quality of concrete mixture was then made by taking the specimen. In general, the quality control process includes: materials analysis, production, handling and curing, testing and evaluation.
