PENGARUH MINYAK ESENSIAL LAVENDER DIBANDING POVIDONE-IODINE PADA PENYEMBUHAN LUKA EPISIOTOMI IBU POSTPARTUML

Saat ini mulai dikembangkan bahwa aromaterapi tidak hanya dipakai sebagai kosmetik, tetapi digunakan sebagai terapi dalam upaya kesehatan dan pengobatan. Salah satu aromaterapi yang memiliki khasiat terapi adalah lavender dalam bentuk minyak esensial, minyak lavender berkhasiat sebagai anti-inflammasi dan anti bacterial. Beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lavender dapat digunakan dalam perawatan luka episiotomi, khususnya dalam penyembuhan luka episiotomi. Salah satu komplikasi penyembuhan luka episiotomi adalah terjadinya infeksi. Infeksi pada luka episiotomi merupakan infeksi yang paling sering didapat setelah ibu melahirkan. Meski hal ini tampaknya sederhana yaitu perawatan luka episiotomi tetapi kalau tidak ditangani dengan tepat, maka infeksi luka spisiotomi dapat berdampak pada morbiditas ibu maternal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh minyak esensial lavender terhadap penyembuhan luka episiotomi ibu postpartum. Desain penelitian adalah randomized clinical trial, data diambil dari ibu yang melahirkan normal per vagina dengan episiotomi. Subyek dikelompokkan menjadi dua yaitu kelompok intervensi dengan minyak esensial lavender dan kelompok control dengan povidone-iodine. Evaluasi dilakukan pada hari kelima dan hari ketujuh postpartum, dengan mengobservasi keadaan luka episiotomi dengan alat ukur REEDA skore. Metode analisis bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square dan uji Fisher-Exact serta analisis multivariate dengan regresi logistic. Subjek penelitian ada 78 subyek, 39 subyek dengan minyak esensial lavender dan 39 subyek yang lain dengan povidone-iodine. Pada observasi hari kelima pengaruh minyak lavender terhadap penyembuhan luka episiotomi bermakna dengan nilai p=0.004 dan RR 3.2. Observasi hari ketujuh pengaruh minyak esensial lavender tidak ada perbedaan dibanding povidone-iodine dengan nilai p>0.05 dan RR 1.1 Kesimpulan. Penggunaan minyak esensial lavender pada penyembuhan luka episiotomi lebih cepat dibanding povidone-iodine. Tidak ditemukan efek samping dalam penelitian ini.

This time aropmatherapy is developed and not only use as cosmetic, but also as therapy to increase health and medication. Aromatherapy have efficacy in therapeutic such as lavender essential oil. Some research suggest that lavender can be used in episiotomy wound care, especially in episiotomy wound healing and also to reduce maternal post partum episiotomy pain. Lavender essential oil have efficacy as anti-inflammasi and anti-bacterial therefore its can be used on wound care and help to prevent infection. One of the episiotomy wound healing complication is infection. Postpartum maternal infection can be reduced by preventing the occurrence episiotomy wound infection. Episiotomy wound infection is the most common infection acquired after delivery. While this seems simple episiotomy wound care, but if not handled properly and correctly then the episiotomy wound infection may have an impact on maternal morbidity.This study to determine the effect of lavender essential oil on maternal postpartum episiotomy wound healing. The study design was randomized clinical trial, data was taken from mothers who normal vaginal delivery with episiotomy. The subject are grouped into two intervention groups, the treatment of wounds with lavender essential oil and the control groups with povidone-iodine. Evaluation is done on the fifth day and seven day postpartum, by observing the conditions of episiotomy wound using REEDA scores. Method of analisys using Stata version 11, the bivariat analisys with Fisher-Exact test and multivariate with logistic regression. Of the 78 study subject, 39 subjects with lavender oil and 39 subjects with povodineiodine. On the fifth day of observation of the effect of lavender oil on wound healing episiotomy significant p value=0.004 and RR 3.2. Observation seventh day of lavender oil did not difference influence than povidone-iodine p>0.05 and RR 1.1 Conclusion. Lavender Essential Oil on wound healing are faster than povidone-iodine. There is no side effect in this research.
