Perencanaan strategis sistem informasi di PT Inalum Sumatera Utara dengan menggunakan pemodelan enterprise architecture Zachman framework

Saat ini informasi dianggap sebagai hal yang vital dalam perusahaan atau organisasi. Kehadiran teknologi mampu membantu organisasi mengumpulkan dan mengolah data menjadi informasi, sehingga teknologi dianggap memegang peran penting dalam pengolahan dan pemanfaatan informasi dengan sistem informasi. Perubahan dalam organisasi juga mengakibatkan perubahan kebutuhan sistem informasi yang harus sesuai dengan kebutuhan bisnis, sehingga perlu adanya kerangka perencanaan strategis untuk melakukan adaptasi terhadap perubahan tersebut. Untuk mengantisipasi dampak perubahan tersebut baik terhadap internal organisasi maupun eksternal organisasi, maka PT INALUM memerlukan langkahlangkah perencanaan strategis dalam suatu sistem informasi atau teknologi informasi yang selaras dengan visi dan misi organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan suatu usulan perencanaan strategis sistem informasi yang mendukung strategi bisnis PT INALUM atas pemodelan enterprise architecture Zachman Framework. Proses penyusunan perencanaan strategis sistem informasi ini diawali dengan melakukan analisis inisiasi perencanaan, kemudian pemodelan bisnis yang menggunakan alat bantu analisis Value Chain, Boston Consulting Group, dan Balanced Scorecard, setelah itu melakukan analisis sistem dan teknologi yang digunakan saat ini. Hasil dari semua analisis tersebut digunakan sebagai masukan enterprise architecture yang menggunakan metode Zachman Framework. Dari hasil analisis diatas dapat diketahui arsitektur aplikasi dan arsitektur teknologi untuk masa mendatang.. Hasil penelitian ini adalah perencanaan strategis sistem informasi yang dibutuhkan PT INALUM, salah satunya adalah portofolio aplikasi yang memiliki 13 aplikasi SI yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan. Untuk mendefinisikan jenis teknologi yang akan menjadi lingkungan pengoperasian aplikasi yang telah didefinisikan, maka dibuatlah standar teknis untuk jenis Sistem Informasi dan Database yang digunakan. Dalam menentukan skala prioritas pengembangan SI digunakanlah matriks Portofolio Aplikasi sehingga dapat disusun rencana implementasinya.

Today, information is considered vital in companies or organizations. The existence of technology can help organizations in gathering and processing data into information, so technology has an important role in processing and utilization information with the information system. Changes in the organization also resulted in changing needs of information systems that must be in accordance with business needs, so the need for strategic planning framework for adaptation to the changes. To anticipate the impact of these changes both to the organization's internal and organization’s external, so PT INALUM requires strategic planning steps in information systems or information technologies that consistent with the vision and mission of the organization. The purpose of this research was produced a proposed strategic planning of information systems that support business strategies PT INALUM by using enterprise architecture Zachman Framework modeling. The process of strategic planning of information system started with analyzing the initiation of planning, business modeling and analysis tool that uses the Value Chain, Boston Consulting Group, and the Balanced Scorecard, and then perform the analysis of current systems and technologies. The result of all this analysis is used as input enterprise architecture that uses the Zachman Framework. From the above analysis results can be known application architecture and technology architecture for the future. The results of this research is strategic planning of information systems which is needed by PT INALUM, one of which is the application portfolio that has 13 SI application is required based on the results of the analysis conducted. To define the type of technology will become the operating environment application that has been defined, then be made to the technical standards for the types of Information Systems and Databases used.
