Analisis faktor-faktor produksi teh hitam CTC Pabrik Teh Gunung Mas PTPN VIII (Persero) Jawa Barat

Penelitian dengan judul Analis Faktor-faktor Produksi Teh Hitam CTC pada Pabri Teh Gunung Mas PTPN VIII (Persero) bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi teh hitam pada Pabrik Teh Gunung Mas dan untuk mengetahui kontribusi masing-masing faktor produksi terhadap produksi teh hitam. Teh (Camellia sinensis) merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang mempunyai arti cukup penting dalam perekonomian negara. Statistik tahun 2007 menunjukan bahwa produktivitas teh Indonesia sebesar 1.126 kg/ha/tahun atau meningkat sebesar 6% bila dibandingkan tahun 1998 yaitu sebesar 1.062 kg/ha/tahun. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, pemerintah bersama swasta dan rakyat berupaya meningkatkan produksi teh Indonesia secara kuantitas maupun kualitas dalam upaya meningkatkan daya saing di pasar internasional. Pabrik teh hitam Gunung Mas milik Perseroan Terbatas Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII selalu berusaha meningkatkan produksi pucuk daun teh di hulu dan optimalisasi proses pengolahan di hilir melalui peningkatan pemanfaatan faktor-faktor produksi di pabrik pengolahan teh. Faktor-faktor Produksi yang diduga berpengaruh dalam proses produksi teh hitam CTC pada Pabrik Teh Gunung Mas PTPN VIII yaitu jumlah bahan baku pucuk basah daun teh, jumlah pengggunaan industry diesel oil (IDO), penggunaan genset, jumlah hari orang kerja serta kapasitas pabrik yang terpakai. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi Fungsi Produksi Cobb-Douglass. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor produksi yang berpengaruh nyata pada produksi teh hitam CTC pada pabrik Gunung Mas yaitu jumlah pucuk basah, jumlah penggunaan IDO, jumlah penggunaan genset dan kapasitas pabrik yang terpakai . Sedangkan penggunaan HOK tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap produksi teh hitam CTC. Kontribusi terbesar faktor produksi pada produksi teh hitam CTC di pabrik Gunung Mas dengan urutan (1) jumlah pucuk basah daun teh, (2) kapasitas terpakai, (3) jumlah IDO, (4) jumlah penggunaan genset dan (5) jumlah hari orang kerja.

Research entitled of Analysis of Production Factors of CTC Black (fermented) Tea at Gunung Mas Factory (PTPN VIII) was aimed to determine factors that influenced the production of black tea and to calculate its contribution to black tea production. Tea (Camellia sinensis) is a main estate crop commodities that had an important contribution to the economy of the country. Statistics in 2007 showed that productivity of Indonesian tea is 1.126 kg/ha/year or increased about 6% comparing to that in 1998 at 1.062 kg/ha/year. However, the stakeholders (government, private company and farmers) should increase production of Indonesian tea, either in quantity and/or quality in order to increase its competitiveness in the international market. Gunung Mas black tea factory of the PTPN VIII has been trying to increase production of tea sprout leaves in the upstream and optimalization of its processing in downstream through the increase in the utilization of production factors in processing of tea. Production factors that was expected influenting the process of CTC black tea at Tea Factory of Gunung Mas PTPN VIII were the amount of wet sprouts tea leaves, IDO uses, the utilization of gen-set energy, the amount of manpower and applied capacity of the factory. Regression analysis of Cobb-Douglass production function was applied in determining role and contribution of production factors. The result showed that production factors influencing the black tea of CTC productioan are the amount of wet sprouts, IDO uses, the utilization of genset energy and used capacity of the factory. Meanwhile, man-days work was not significantly influence production of black tea of CTC. The biggest contribution of the black tea of CTC are the number of wet sprouts of tea leaves, used capacity of the factory, amount of IDO, the utility of genset energy and the amount of manpower, respectively.
