2004 | Tesis | S2 ManajemenPenelitian ini menguji pengaruh empat variabel (karaktersitik pasar, karakteristik produk, karakteristik pemasok , ikatan sosial) yang mempengaruhi pola hubungan pabrikan-pemasok. Dengan menggunakan analisis regresi hirarkis, hasil yang didapat adalah karakteristik produk mempengaruhi pola hubungan pabrikan-pemasok, dan pola hubungan pabrikan-pemasok berpengaruh positif atas kinerja operasional. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan dari kinerja operasional yang dihasilkan oleh masingmasing pola hubungan pabrikan-pemasok. Namun, hubungan pabrikanpemasok tidak mampu memediasi variabel konsideran dan kinerja operasional. Dengan menggunakan disproportional stratified random sampling, sampel penelitian dilakukan pada sejumlah industri menengah dan besar pada industri pengolahan makanan di Jawa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara langsung dan mail survey. Dari 500 kuesioner yang disebar, 72 kuesioner dikembalikan responden, sehingga respon rate sebesar 11,4%. Penelitian ini menyajikan dua simpulan, yaitu simpulan umum dan simpulan khusus. Simpulan umum menjelaskan hasil penelitian berdasarkan hasil olahan statistik. Sedangkan simpulan khusus menjelaskan hasil penelitian berdasarkan wawancara dan berbegai fenomena yang ditemukan peneliti. Penelitian ini juga memberikan arahan bagi penelitian lanjutan dan bagi kebijakan manajerial perusahaan pengolahan makanan.
The study examined the influence of four variables (market characteristic, product characteristic, supplier characteristic, social bond) on manufacturersupplier relationship pattern. Through the use of hierarchical regression, the result indicated that product characteristic have positive significant effect on manufacturer-supplier relationship pattern. Further, manufacturer-supplier relationship pattern was predictor significant of operational performance. There is a significant difference of operational performance on each manufacturer-supplier relationship pattern. But manufacturer-supplier relationship could not mediate independent variable and operational performance. Through disproportional stratified random sampling, a sample frame of the study was chosen form medium and large food companies in Java. Data collection method used mail survey and interview. Of 500 distributed questionnaires to respondent, 72 were returned yielding respond rate 11,4%. Two conclusions (general conclusion and special conclusion) were made in the study. General conclusions explained the research from statistical result. Special conclusion described the research based on interviewing among respondents and several phenomenon which have captured by research. The study also provided directions for future research and the impact for food company.
