Pakeliran wayang kulit purwa lakon Salya Begal di Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo Borobudur

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas dan rinci mengenai pakeliran wayang kulit purwa lakon Salya Begal di Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo Borobudur, yang menyangkut tentang makna bagi komunitas Pondok seni dan budaya Boediardjo di Borobudur Kabupaten Magelang. Untuk memberikan eksplanasi terhadap permasalahan yang dibahas, digunakan metode deskriptif analisis serta dengan pendekatan ilmuilmu sosial yang ada hubungannya dengan penelitian ini. Munculnya pakeliran wayang kulit purwa lakon Salya Begal di Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo ada hubungannya dengan figur almarhum Boediardjo, karena pakeliran tersebut disajikan setiap setahun sekali pada bulan Nopember oleh Yayasan Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo untuk memperingati kelahiran Boediardjo, yang lahir pada tanggal 16 Nopember 1921. Lakon Salya Begal ini muncul pertama kali pada saat upacara peringatan ulang tahun kelahiran Boediardjo yang ke 75 di Jakarta oleh prakarsa pribadi Boediardjo, dengan disertai pameran foto dan peluncuran bukunya berjudul “Siapa Sudi Saya Dongengi” yang berisi tentang riwayat kehidupannya. Pada bagian akhir tulisannya dicantumkan sinopsis Salya Begal sebagai epilog. Selanjutnya sinopsis ini dijadikan pijakan penyajian pakeliran lakon Salya Begal di Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, maka pakeliran Salya Begal bukan semata-mata sajian seni hiburan, tetapi sajian seni yang mempunyai makna simbolis. Lakon Salya Begal sebagai simbol perasaan orang yang sedang kecewa dan putus asa, sedangkan bagi komunitas Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo, lakon Salya Begal sebagai simbol sarana pengungkapan rasa hormat dan kagum terhadap sosok Boediardjo.

The research is aiming at finding detailed information on the puppetry, pakeliran of wayang kulit purwa with a scenario of Salya Begal which was performed at Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo at the problem with descriptive analisys utilizing social sceiences, relevant to it. Salya Begal, as it is informed, is annually performed in the framework of commemorating the birthday of Mr. Boediardjo on November 16, and he was born (at the village of Borobudur) in 1921. His relatives and family support his idea of establishing the Boediardjos’ Foundation of Arts and Culture/Yayasan Pondok Seni dan Budaya Boediardjo. The scenario is written on the basis of symbolically his personal life experiences so as to be reflected in the mind of especially Boediardjo’s family members and those interested in the performance of the puppet shadow play. The scenario, Salya Begal, written by Boediardjo himself, was initially performed in Jakarta when he was 75 years of age, due to his initiative. The birthday of his at that time was also celebrated with photo exhibition and the launching of his book, entitled: Who are enthusiastic if I tell a tale/ “Siapa Sudi Saya Dongengi”. The presentation of the scenario refert to the synopsis in his book, and the dalang or the puppeteers are hopefully willing to follow guide-lines in the synopsis, whenever they play the scenario at the hall of the foundation. All the members of the Boediardjo’s Foundation of Arts and Culture highly respect Boediardjo, so as they regulare present the Salya Begal every 35 days in the cycle of his monthly birthdy in Javanese culture. The members, above-mentioned, think of his personality as parent, superior, and colleague to be respected and loved, so as inevitably to always remember him through the Salya Begal puppet shadow play at the day of the Javanese birthday cycle of his.
