Studi Komparasi Asumsi Dasar Fazlur Rahman dan Kuntowijoyo tentang Al-Qur'an

Penelitian yang berjudul Studi Komparasi Asumsi Dasar Fazlur Rahman dan Kuntowijoyo tentang Al-Quran ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil analisis awal bahwa terdapat celah di dalam pemikiran Fazlur Rahman dan Kuntowijoyo tentang metode penerapan Al-Quran, yaitu asumsi dasar yang mendasari metode tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan analisis pemikiran kedua tokoh tersebut untuk menyusun satu keterangan sistematis tentang asumsi dasar dari metode penerapan Al-Quran pada Abad Kontemporer yang disusun oleh Fazlur Rahman dan Kuntowijoyo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan dengan model Historis Faktual Mengenai Tokoh dan Model Komparatif. Perangkat analisis penelitiain ini meliputi interpretasi, induksi, deduksi, holistika, heuristika, deskripsi reflektif, dan simetris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asumsi dasar Fazlur Rahman tentang Al-Quran adalah Al-Quran memiliki dua substansi, yaitu struktur moral (ideal-moral) dan teks berupa pernyataan hukum. Ideal-moral adalah permanen dan bersifat transendental (mengatasi ruang dan waktu), sedangkan pernyataan hukum (teks) bersifat temporal (terikat dengan ruang dan waktu). Di sisi lain, Kuntowijoyo memiliki asumsi dasar bahwa Al-Quran memiliki dua substansi. Pertama adalah teks berupa konsep dan kisah. Kedua adalah struktur pengetahuan. Konsep dan kisah pada teks Al-Quran terikat oleh konteks Arabia abad VII, sedangkan struktur adalah transendental, melampaui ruang dan waktu. The research entitled Comparative Study of Fazlur Rahman and Kuntowijoyo's Basic Assumptions about the Qur'an is backgrounded by the results of a preliminary analysis that there is a gap in Fazlur Rahman and Kuntowijoyo's thinking about the method of applying the Qur'an, namely the basic assumptions underlying the method. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the thoughts of the two figures to compile a systematic description of the basic assumptions of the method of applying the Qur'an in the Contemporary Century compiled by Fazlur Rahman and Kuntowijoyo. This research is literature research with a Factual Historical model of Figures and Comparative Models. The research's analytical tools include interpretation, induction, deduction, holistic, heuristics, reflective descriptions, and symmetric. The results showed that Fazlur Rahman's basic assumption about the Qur'an is that the Qur'an has two substances, namely the moral structure (ideal-moral) and the text in the form of legal statements. The moral ideal is permanent and transcendental (overcoming space and time), while legal statements (texts) are temporal (bound to space and time). On the other hand, Kuntowijoyo has a basic assumption that the Qur'an has two substances. First is the text in the form of concepts and stories. Second is the structure of knowledge. The concepts and stories in the Qur'anic text are bound by the context of VII century Arabia, while the structure is transcendental, transcending time and space.
