Perkembangan teknologi menjadi peran penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya adalah teknologi robotik yang merupakan salah satu contoh perkembangan yang besar manfaatnya seperti dunia militer, kedokteran, dan pertanian. Robot ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) dirancang secara khusus untuk dapat bergerak dalam air dengan menggunakan controller (pengendali). Pengolahan citra digital merupakan proses pengolahan dan analisis citra yang banyak melibatkan persepsi visual. Proses ini mempunyai ciri data masukan dan informasi keluaran yang berbentuk citra. Pengolahan citra berusaha untuk melakukan transformasi suatu gambar/citra menjadi citra lain dengan menggunakan teknik tertentu. Pengolahan citra digital dibutuhkan ketika citra yang dimiliki tidak sesuai dengan keinginan atau untuk tujuan tertentu. Sistem pendeteksian dengan menggunakan metode shape detection memiliki kehandalan yang baik dalam mendeteksi terhadap beberapa variasi background dengan nilai threshold HSV

The ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) robot is specially designed to be able to move through the air using controller. Digital image processing is an image processing and analysis process that involves visual perception. This process has the characteristics of input and output data in the form of images. Image processing is trying to change an image and image into another image by using certain techniques. Digital image processing is needed when the image that is owned is not in accordance with the wishes or for a particular purpose. The detection system using the shape detection method has good reliability in detecting some background variations with the HSV
