GERAKAN ANAK MUDA DESA DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN AKTIVASI KOPERASI KOPI ARABIKA

Abstraksi Sebagian besar koperasi digerakan oleh generasi tua, namun berbeda dengan Koperasi Solok Radjo yang justru digerakan oleh generasi muda pedesaan Lembah Gumanti. Koperasi ini bergerak pada sektor perkembangan pertanian kopi dengan mengandalkan pemanfaatan lahan bekas milik nagari maupun masyarakat. Kehadiran koperasi mampu meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, terutama petani generasi tua yang tidak mampu lagi melakukan budidaya tanaman hortikultura. Komoditas kopi merupakan tanaman alternative yang sesuai dibudidayakan pada masa tua petani. Pada tulisan ini, penulis berupaya menjelaskan kemandirian anak muda pedesaan mengatasi berbagai persoalan koperasi, sehingga tetap terus aktif dan beroperasi. Petani generasi tua Lembah Gumanti menggantungkan diri mereka pada generasi muda pedesaan. Rasa percaya akan penguasaan teknologi dan informasi oleh generasi muda membuat petani generasi tua mendukung segala ide dan gagasan dalam program koperasi yang disusun oleh anak muda. Adanya pandemi Covid-19 mempengaruhi segala aspek dalam koperasi, namun dampaknya dapat diatasi oleh anak muda dengan cara membeli cherry kopi petani meskipun tidak ada pasar, memanfaatkan jaringan pada areal penyangga yang berada di Sumatera Tengah, Menggiring wacana tanaman alternative hari tua, dan menciptakan program ekowisata demi mempertahankan eksistensi koperasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Multidimensional dan dilakukan di Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti, Sumatera Barat. Lokasi ini berada di sekitar area kaki Gunung Talang yang merupakan daerah yang secara geografis cocok untuk mengembangkan budidaya tanaman kopi berjenis Arabika. Abstract Most cooperatives are run by the older generation, unlike the Solok Radjo cooperative, which is run by the younger generation of the rural population of the Lembah Gumanti. This cooperative is active in agricultural development of coffee cultivation, relying on the use of former land belonging to the Nagari and the community. Cooperatives can increase the income of people, especially the older generation of farmers who are no longer able to grow horticultural crops. Coffee is an alternative crop suitable for cultivation in old age. In this paper, the author tries to explain the independence of rural youth to overcome various problems of cooperatives so that they continue to be active and work. The old generation of farmers in the Lembah Gumanti depends on the young generation in the countryside. Confidence in the young generation's mastery of technology and information causes the older generation of farmers to support all the ideas of the cooperative program developed by the young people. The existence of Covid-19 pandemic affects all aspects of cooperatives, but the impact can be overcome by the young people by buying farmers' coffee cherries even though there is no market, using networks in buffer areas in Central Sumatra, discourse on alternative crops for old age, and creating programs. ecotourism activities to maintain the existence of cooperatives. This study is qualitative research with a multidimensional approach conducted in the district of Lembah Gumanti in West Sumatra. This place is located at the foot of Mount Talang, an area geographically suitable for the development of Arabica coffee cultivation.
