Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the customers were forced to shift their buying needs from physical store into an online platform. This situation triggered the growth of e- commerce globally and it created high competition among them. Normally, the e-commerce company sustained their self by using the ability to read the market trend and be adaptive with all the changes. One of the important factors to keep the sustainability of an e-commerce is by taking an advantage from the trend of buying from social event. Every year, people celebrate many annual events, for example, Black Friday after thanksgiving and Christmas. Those social events are highly impacting the customer behavior. At the beginning, the Black Friday was just a day after Thanksgiving holiday in US when every store sold numerous products with a big discount. This was the sign that holiday season, which is Christmas and New Year, has begun. Moreover, these days the customer shift their buying needs from purchasing from offline store to the online store due to pandemic situation. Not only it made changes in marketing strategy for the business company but also, it changed in the concern of keeping competitiveness in the e-commerce business. While Back Market is still a start-up company, they hold the position as the biggest electronic refurbished marketplace in France. They also took in account for the Black Friday and Christmas event. This start-up company activated the Black Friday and Christmas campaigns in every website of BM in 16 countries. As an illustration, by taking the advantage for this holiday moment and the pandemic effect, BM (Back Market) has gained 335 million euro for the sales in Black Friday and Christmas campaign in 2020. BM wants to repeat the success of the Black Friday and Christmas campaign last year by applying the pushed deals for those events with a better preparation in this year. Although, it is not an easy work because the competitiveness of this market is growing in 2021 and it becomes a new challenge for BM.
