REFORMASI SEBAGAI MOMEN EKSEPSI DALAM NOVEL LAUT BERCERITA KARYA LEILA S. CHUDORI

Novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori menarasikan tragedi dan konflik yang berkaitan dengan pemerintahan Orde Baru. Reformasi sebagai latar historis digunakan untuk mengungkap dan mengangkat dinamika sosial yang melibatkan aparatus dan warga negara, baik secara individu maupun kelompok. Warga negara yang tereksklusi oleh hukum dan HAM kemudian menjadi figur homo sacer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama menjelaskan dan mengidentifikasi bentuk kedaulatan negara dan warga negara pada masa Orde Baru dalam novel Laut Bercerita. Kedua bagaimana respon homo sacer sebagai komunitas terjelang mencapai hidup bahagia pasca Orde Baru dalam novel Laut Bercerita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori filsafat politik Giorgio Agamben pada lokus konsep kedaulatan negara, warga negara, dan potensialitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan, bahwa pemerintah selaku pemegang kekuasaan tertinggi telah melakukan praktik pengeksepsian terhadap warga negara sebagai upaya menjaga dan mempertahankan kedaulatan negara. Pemerintah mendominasi dan membatasi gerak warga negara yang berpotensi menggangu dan mengancam kedaulatan. Warga negara mencoba melakukan resistensi dengan memanfaatkan potensi. Potensi tersebut direpresentasikan dalam bentuk the coming community atau the coming sebagai upaya untuk mencapai hidup bahagia yang dilakukan oleh warga negara.

The Novel Laut Bercerita by Leila S. Chudori narrates the tragedy and conflict related to the New Order government. Reformation as a historical setting is used to reveal and raise social dynamics involving the apparatus and citizens, both individually and in groups. Citizens who are excluded by law and human rights then become homo sacer figures. The aims of this research are as follows. The first is to explain and identify the form of state sovereignty and citizens during the New Order era in the novel Laut Bercerita. Second, how is the response of homo sacers as a community towards achieving a happy life after the New Order in the novel Laut Bercerita. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. This study uses Giorgio Agamben's theory of political philosophy at the locus of the concept of state sovereignty, citizens, and potentiality. The results of this study indicate that the government as the holder of the highest power has carried out the practice of exceptions to citizens to maintain and defend state sovereignty. The government dominates and restricts the movement of citizens who have the potential to interfere and threaten sovereignty. Citizens try to do resistance by exploiting the potential. This potential is represented in the form of the coming community or the coming as an effort to achieve a happy life carried out by citizens.
