THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BALANCED SCORECARD IN EVALUATING PERFORMANCE: A CASE OF HEHA SKYVIEW YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi Balanced Scorecard (BSC) sebagai ukuran kinerja pada HeHa Sky View. Selain itu, peneliti juga mengidentifikasi rumusan strategi yang digunakan untuk membantu HeHa Sky View dalam mewujudkan misinya sebagai pionir di sektor pariwisata berdasarkan hasil implementasi BSC. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus untuk menggambarkan tujuan penelitian melalui teknik wawancara yang mendalam kepada 9 orang. Responden yang diwawancarai adalah pihak internal manajemen dan pihak eksternal dengan adopsi BSC ke dalam probing question list. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa implementasi BSC mampu mengukur kinerja HeHa Sky View berdasar strategi yang sudah dirumuskan. Selain itu, tidak hanya digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi, BSC juga dapat digunakan oleh HeHa Skyview sebagai alat untuk membantu merumuskan strategi bisnis mereka ke depan dengan menghubungkan keempat perspektif BSC.

This thesis analyzes the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a measure of performance in HeHa Sky View. HeHa Sky View is a leading tourism sector in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In addition, the researchers also identified the strategy formulations used to make HeHa Sky View a pioneer in the tourism sector. This study uses a case study with the critical example method to describe the purpose of the study. This research is a case study using the Heha Skyview by deepening the case within the organization. Furthermore, the researcher used in-depth interviews with 8 management people and external parties adopting the 2nd generation balanced scorecard framework. Performance measurement using BSC helps HeHa to implement future business strategies. The implementation is proven to be still effective so that HeHa Sky View is still sustainable to this day. In addition, not only used as an evaluation tool, the BSC is also can be used by HeHa Skyview as a tool to help formulate their future business strategy by connecting the four perspectives of the BSC.
