Politik Sedekah Canthel: Memahami Mobilisasi Politik dalam Praktik Filantropi pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19

Sedekah canthel adalah sebuah gerakan filantropi yang digagas oleh Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) Kabupaten Bantul dengan tujuan untuk mengatasi dampak akibat pandemi Covid-19. Sedekah canthel menyediakan berbagai jenis bahan makanan yang digantungkan di sebuah papan. Mekanisme yang digunakan dalam sedekah canthel memberikan peluang bagi siapa saja untuk berkontribusi tanpa memandang kelas sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami praktik mobilisasi politik melalui filantropi sekaligus melihat sedekah canthel sebagai alternatif penanganan dampak pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Temuan penelitian ini adalah bahwa praktik filantropi sedekah canthel terbukti menjadi strategi mobilisasi politik yang digunakan oleh PKS Kabupaten Bantul. Hal tersebut nampak dari adanya spanduk di papan sedekah canthel yang memuat logo partai PKS dan foto kadernya. Peresmian program sedekah canthel juga mengundang bupati Bantul terpilih periode 2016-2021 yang juga didukung oleh PKS Bantul pada pemilihan kepala daerah yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember tahun 2020. PKS juga turut terlibat dalam kontestasi pembentukan kebijakan publik salah satunya melalui dialog dengan lembaga eksekutif yang bertanggung jawab. Sedekah canthel juga berperan sebagai salah satu kebijakan internal PKS untuk penanganan dampak pandemi di tengah keterbatasan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh pemerintah pusat dan daerah. Sedekah canthel mampu menumbuhkan harapan di tengah kesulitan yang dihadapi masyarakat di Kabupaten Bantul.

Sedekah canthel is ad philanthropic movement initiated by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) of Bantul Regency with the aim to overcoming the impact of the covid-19 pandemic. Sedekah canthel provides various types of food that are hung on a board. The mechanism used in sedekah canthel provides an opportunity for anyone to contribute regardless of social class. This study aims to understand the practice of political mobilization through philanthropy as well as to see sedekah canthel as an alternative to handling the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The findings of this study are that the practice of philanthropic sedekah canthel has proven to be a political mobilization strategy used by PKS in Bantul Regency. This can be seen from the banner on the sedekah canthel board containing the PKS party logo and photos of its cadres. The inauguration of the sedekah canthel program also invited the elected Bantul regent for the 2016-2021 period who was also supported by PKS Bantul in the regional head election held in December 2020. PKS was also involved in the contestation of public policy formation, one of which was through dialogue with the executive agency responsible for. Sedekah canthel also plays a role as one of PKS internal policies for handling the impact of the pandemic amidst the limited capabilities of the central and regional governments. Sedekah canthel is able to foster hope in the midst of difficulties faced by the community in Bantul Regency.
