Background : Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a risk factor for children having a lower weight and height or body length than normal children. Corrective on PJB have a good impact on improving children's growth. Objective : To know the trend of increasing weight and height or body length in children with CHD at post correction compared to pre-correction. Methods : This study is a pre-post design retrospective cohort study. Children with CHD which perform corrective action in Dr. Sardjito Hospital in 2017- 2019, followed from pre-correction to 6 months after correction. Growth assessed based on weight and height or body length were obtained from medical records to assess the trend and average increase in weight and height or body length between before and after correction. Results : The research subjects who met the selection criteria were 227. The results of the Chi Square test to compare the proportion of the trend of increasing weight before and after correction were (p=0.535). The results of Fisher's test to compare the proportion of the trend of increasing TB/PB pre- and postcorrection were (p=1.00). The results of the Wilcoxon test for pre- and postcorrection weight gain were (p=0.00) with the median pre-correction weight gain was 0 grams, while the post-correction was 250 grams. The results of the Wilcoxon test for pre- and post-correction increase in TB or PB were (p=0.975) with the median increase in pre-correction TB/PB was 0 cm while post correction was 0.5 cm. Conclusion : There was a significant increase in weight gain in children with CHD after correction. However, there was no significant difference in the increase in height or body length between pre- and post-correction. There is also no significant difference regarding the difference in the trend of increasing weight and length or body length post-correction compared to pre-correction.
