Literature, in its various forms, is often an instrument for an author to voice ideas about resistance to the power structure while at the same time targeting the unequal relations of identities in society. Over the past decade, one of the figures known by activists, students, and the media, as an author with narratives of resistance and social portraits of people colored by identity conflicts is Okky Madasari. In this regard, this study aims to examine the works of Okky Madasari, Entrok and Maryam, using the perspective of intersectionality and narrative reading with the aim of understanding the power structure and unequal identity relations in the two novels as part of the author's ideology. The results of this study indicate that the two novels both use gender equality as a measure for the center of the storyline. Thus, the narrative tends to lead the reader to see how far, other aspects of identity, such as class, religion, and the state, support or not support gender equality. Gender equality is also a reflection of modern thinking that glorifies subjective human freedom from various power relations interventions that create inequality. However, the people who are described as having the opportunity to fight for freedom or negotiate with existing power relations are only those who are highly educated and economically strong.
