PENGARUH BIAYA PENDIDIKAN TERHADAP MUTU PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN MUTU PROSES BELAJAR MENGAJAR SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PADA SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN NEGERI DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menguji pengaruh biaya pendidikan terhadap mutu hasil belajar melalui mutu proses belajar mengajar SMKN di Kabupaten Sleman. Hal ini mengingat kebijakan sumber pendanaan biaya sekolah yang semula berasal dari 3 sumber (APBN, APBD, dan masyarakat) menjadi hanya berasal dari 2 sumber (APBN dan APBD), sedangkan angka indeks pembangunan manusia (IPM) Kabupaten Sleman pada tahun 2017 menduduki peringkat nomor dua. Biaya pendidikan pada penelitian ini berfokus pada biaya pendidikan yang berasal dari APBS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi yang terdiri atas 4 SMKN di Kabupaten Sleman. Data yang digunakan berupa data sekunder. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat bukti bahwa biaya pendidikan berpengaruh terhadap mutu prestasi belajar melalui mutu proses belajar mengajar. Sekolah dengan biaya pendidikan, baik tinggi maupun rendah sama-sama memiliki mutu proses belajar mengajar yang tinggi, tetapi prestasi belajar siswa yang dihasilkan bervariasi (ada yang tinggi dan rendah).

This research is conducted with the aim of examining the effect of education costs on the quality of learning outcomes through the quality of the teaching and learning process in State Vocational High Schools in Sleman Regency. Considering the policy on funding sources for school fees, which previously came from 3 sources (state budget (APBN), regional budget (APBD), and the community) to only from 2 sources (APBN and APBD), while the Human Development Index (IPM) of Sleman Regency in 2017 was ranked number two. The education costs in this research are focused on the costs that come from the school budget (APBS). This research is a population study, which consists of 4 State Vocational Schools in Sleman Regency. The data used is in the form of secondary data. The data analysis is carried out using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The research results show that there is no evidence that education costs affect learning achievement quality through teaching and learning process quality. Schools with high and low education costs both have high quality of teaching and learning process, but the resulting student learning achievement varies (some are high and others are low).
