PROGRAM ZERO WASTE DALAM UPAYA PENGURANGAN SAMPAH OLEH DEPARTEMEN SUSTAINABILITY HOTEL DAN RESOR SIX SENSES ULUWATU

Pada penerapan program zero waste Six Senses Uluwatu menjalankan beberapa poyek seperti refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya pengurangan sampah yang dilakukan departemen sustainability pada penerapan program zero waste. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Data primer dalam penelitian ini berbentuk catatan hasil observasi penerapan prorogam zero waste terkini dan hasil wawancara langsung yang dilakukan dengan manager sustainability Six Senses Uluwatu. Data sekunder berbentuk sumber data berupa jurnal, buku, artikel, laman yang berhubungan sampah, zero waste, sustainability mengenai Six Senses Uluwatu. Tahap analisa data pada penelitian ini adalah mengorganisasikan data, memilah data, dan menganalisa data. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa upaya pengurangan sampah oleh departemen sustainability dimulai dari refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle mampu mengurangi sampah yang dihasilkan oleh operasional hotel namun masih terdapat beberapa kendala seperti kurangnya data sampah, kurangnya jumlah SDM, serta kurangnya koordinasi antar departemen yang menyebabkan kurang maksimal dalam menjalankan program zero waste.
Sustainability Department of Six Senses Uluwatu implements a zero waste program to reduce waste in hotel operations. On the application of the zero waste programs Six Senses Uluwatu run several projects such as refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle. Purpose this research is to know waste reduction efforts by sustainability department on the implementation of the zero waste programs. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used was observation, interview, literature, and documentation. Primary data in this study take the form of observations about implementation the latest zero waste program and results of direct interviews with Six Senses Uluwatu sustainability manager. Secondary data in the form of data sources in the form of journals, books, articles, pages related to waste zero waste, sustainability regarding Six Senses Uluwatu. The data analysis stage in this research is to organize data, sort data, and analyze data. The results of the study show that efforts to reduce waste by the sustainability department starting from refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle are able to reduce the waste generated by hotel operations but there are still several obstacles such as lack of waste data, lack of human resources, and lack of coordination between departments which causes less waste management in running the zero waste program.
