This study seeks to examine the relationship of information sharing and fresh-produce supply chain (FSC) performance during the COVID-19 pandemic. A survey was conducted on fresh fruit and vegetable retailers in Indonesia between 29th March 2021 and 19th May 2021. Quantitative data from 197 respondents were analysed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). This study reveals that during the COVID-19 pandemic, information sharing is significantly influencing the flexibility performance of FSC, whether it directly or indirectly via supply uncertainty. The activation of connectivity and willingness to share information foster information sharing capability by intensifying information visibility under uncertain period. Thus, it increases the ability to appropriately and adequately respond or resolve to unexpected changes. This study offers an empirical investigation to the relationship of information sharing and FSC performance of downstream supply chain actors. Moreover, this study also offers a novel perspective to view supply chain uncertainty as mediator variable in the relationship of information sharing and supply chain performance, especially for the flexibility aspect. This study emphasizes the need for focal company to build and maintain close and useful communication with its suppliers during uncertain period, such as during pandemic.

Kata Kunci : COVID-19, pandemic, information sharing, fresh supply chain, flexibility performance, supply uncertainty
