Perilaku Pengendara Sepeda Terhadap Keselamatan Di Jalan Saat Pandemi Covid-19

Ditengah pembatasan sosial yang diberlakukan pemerintah guna menurunkan tingkat penyebaran virus COVID-19, penggunaan sepeda mucul sebagai tren baru di berbagai kota di Indonesia, salah satunya Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Akan tetapi pertumbuhan positif penggunaan sepeda ini juga berbanding lurus dengan data kecelakaan pengendara sepeda yang ikut terus meningkat. Faktor manusia merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab tingginya angka kecelakaan pengendara sepeda itu sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perilaku pengendara sepeda di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini berupa data hasil kuesioner dan observasi lapangan terhadap pengendara sepeda. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan perilaku pengendara sepeda, serta structural equation modelling (SEM) untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku pengendara sepeda. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling menggunakan kuesioner secara daring dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 362 pengendara sepeda. Pada observasi langsung di lapangan dilakukan pengamatan pada 309 pengendara sepeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku pengendara sepeda di DI Yogyakarta sudah tergolong baik, akan tetapi pengendara sepeda masih banyak belum mengetahui peraturan yang mengatur keselamatan bersepeda di jalan. Penggunaan perlengkapan keselamatan ketika bersepeda tidak mencerminkan kepatuhan terhadap lalu lintas. Faktor pengetahuan terkait peraturan keselamatan memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap persepsi dan perilaku pengendara sepeda, sementara faktor usia hanya mempengaruhi perilaku saja. Perilaku tidak memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap kecelakaan. Pada pengaruh tidak langsung, faktor pengetahuan terkait peraturan keselamatan memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku tidak berkeselamatan pengendara sepeda.

In the middle of social distancing imposed by the government of Indonesia to reduce the spread rate of COVID-19 virus, the use of bicycles has emerged as a new trend in various cities in Indonesia, one of which is the Special Region of Yogyakarta. However, the increasing growth of bicycle users are also directly proportional to the data on cyclists' accidents. One of the factors causing high number of accidents on cyclists is the human factor. The purpose of this study was to analyze the behavior of cyclists in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data used in the study were granted from questionnaires and field observations of cyclists. Descriptive analysis is used to describe the characteristics and behavior of cyclists, other than that structural equation modeling (SEM) is also used to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of cyclists. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method with a questionnaire resulting the number of respondents as many as 362 cyclists. Direct field observation was made to 309 cyclists. The results showed that the behavior of cyclists in Special Region of Yogyakarta were quite good, but there are still a lot of cyclists that do not know about regulations governing road cycling safety. It was found that the use of safety equipment does not present traffic compliance. Knowledge factors related to safety have a direct influence on the perception and behavior of cyclists, while age only affects behavior. Behavior has no direct influence on accidents. On the indirect effect, the knowledge factor related to safety has an influence on the unsafe behavior of cyclists.
