KARAKTERISASI KERUSAKAN KAYU JATI (Tectona grandis) ELEMEN SOKO GURU RUANG UTAMA MASJID AGENG KARATON SURAKARTA HADININGRAT

Masjid Ageng Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat merupakan situs cagar budaya yang terletak di kota Surakarta dan telah berdiri sejak 1763. Bangunan ini terdiri atas berbagai elemen antara lain Soko Guru ruang utama yang mengalami pemugaran untuk menjaga kelesatarian. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui karakterisitik kerusakan, warna kayu, dan sifat fisika dan mekanika kayu pada Soko Guru ruang utama Masjid Ageng Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat. Penelitian terdiri atas tiga tahap yaitu pengambilan data, pengolahan data, dan analisis data. Tahap pengambilan data dilakukan terhadap sampel kayu Jati kuno Soko Guru dan kayu Jati pembanding dengan pengujian kerusakan kayu, warna finishing kayu, dan sifat fisika dan mekanika kayu. Tahap pengolahan yaitu perhitungan dari hasil pengambilan data dengan menggunkan MS. Excel. Tahap analisis dilakukan dengan uji T dengan software SPSS untuk mengetahui berbeda tidaknya hasil uji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga hal sebagai berikut, pertama kerusakan kayu terdapat tiga karakteristik kerusakan yaitu biologis 24%, mekanis 8% dan fisik 3%. Kedua warna kayu didapatkan bahwa tidak berbeda nyata. Ketiga sifat fisika terdapat perbedaan pada pengujian berat jenis kering udara, berat jenis kering tanur, kerapatan kering udara, kerapatan kering tanur, dan penyusutan dimensi radial sedangkan sifat mekanika kayu tidak berbeda nyata.

Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat Grand Mosque is a cultural heritage site located in Surakarta city and is established since 1763. This building consists of several elements such as Soko Guru (poles) in the main space that underwent restoration for its preservation. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the damage, the color of the wood, and the physical and mechanical properties of the wood of Soko Guru (poles) in the main space of Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat Grand Mosque. This study consists of three steps such as data collection, data processing, and data analysis. The data collection was conducted by taking samples from the old teak wood of Soko Guru and the comparator teak wood by examining the damage of the wood, the color of the wood, and the physical and mechanical properties of the wood. The data processing step is the calculation of the data collection result using Ms. Excel. The data analysis was conducted by T-test using SPSS software to find out whether the test results are different. The result of the study shows three points as follows; first, in the damage of the wood there are three characteristics of damage such as biological damage 24%, mechanical damage 8%, and physical damage 3%. Second, the color of the woods are not different. Third, in the physical properties there are differences found in the test of the bulk specific gravity of air, the bulk specific gravity of kiln, the bulk density of air, the bulk density of kiln, and radial dimension shrinkage whereas the mechanical properties of the wood is not different.
