Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA) test is proper methods for accurately identify mechanical error mechanical issue structure especially of magnetic cores, deformation winding, and displacement of winding. The principle of SFRA by injecting a sinusoidal signal with a sweep frequency (from 20 Hz to 2 MHz) and with a low and constant voltage to one terminal of the transformer and measuring the response in other terminal. The frequency response obtained is compared with the transformer frequency response data under normal conditions. The basis for this test is to obtain results that can be interpreted with previous results and to obtain initial data from the new test mode according to the recommendations from PT. PLN UIT-JBT. The test mode used in each test must be the same to get close results so that changes or displacement in the mechanical condition of the transformer can be known. Connection of terminal which wrong or different can cause the sfra is ambiguous that can be misconstrued in the assessment of the winding of transformer. Effect of grounding the tertiary winding, open circuit the tertiary winding, and connecting the neutral point in the terminal connections are highlighted in this study. By using instrument FRAX-101 obtained a curve of the test results of the frequency (Hz) to the magnitude (dB). SFRA diagnosis is made based on the comparison between two SFRA responses and any significant difference in low, middle and high frequency sub-bands region would potentially indicate mechanical or electrical problem due to core and winding of transformer. Comparison of the results of the SFRA test on a 60MVA transformer at the Tasikmalaya Substation using FRAX with the results of manual calculations using the cross-correlation coefficient equation from the standard DL/T 911 2004, the average percentage error is 0.12256%.
