Pakistani Pashtun Ethnic Minority Struggle Against Injustices through the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM)

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh dari gerakan PTM terhadap kemajuan dan perbaikan diskriminasi etnis yang dialami oleh etnis minoritas Pashtun di Pakistan melalui konsep Tipping, Timing and Framing oleh Lisa Baldez (2002) serta Core Framing Tasks oleh Robert D. Benford dan David A. Snow (2000). Studi ini meneliti lebih jauh mengenai dimensi temporal (Timing) serta variabel komplementer (Framing) yang memungkinkan perubahan untuk perbaikan diskriminasi dapat terjadi dari tipping point yang tercipta. Dengan menggapai momentum yang tepat serta pembingkaian peristiwa atau masalah yang efektif, tercipta tipping point yang menjadi titik awal terbentuknya PTM yang menciptakan tekanan tinggi terhadap pemerintah dan militer Pakistan sehingga perubahan regulasi negara dapat berubah.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the PTM movement on the progress and improvement of ethnic discrimination experienced by the Pashtun ethnic minority in Pakistan through the concept of Tipping, Timing and Framing by Lisa Baldez (2002) and Core Framing Tasks by Robert D. Benford and David A. Snow. (2000). This study further examines the temporal dimension (Timing) and complementary variables (Framing) that allow changes to improve discrimination to occur from the tipping point created. By achieving the right momentum and effective framing of events or problems, a tipping point is created which is the starting point for the formation of PTM which creates high pressure on the Pakistani government and military so that changes in state regulations took place.
