Satellite Derived Bathymetry (SDB) is an alternative method that can replace Single-Beam Echosounder (SBES), Multi-Beam Echosounder (MBES), and Airborne Lidar Bathymetry (ALB) to perform depth measurement. This method is generally applied to relatively clear and shallow water. The measurement results are also able to provide good correlation and accuracy. However, not all of the water conditions in Indonesia are clear. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research which focusses on turbid water in order to decide whether this method is suitable to be applied in turbid water. The research location was taken in West Surabaya Shipping Channel. The application of SDB requires satellite imagery as its dataset that is complemented by in situ depth data. The satellite image used in this research is multitemporal PlanetScope, namely in epoch 2020, 2017, and 2016, while the in situ depth data, is in the form of corrected MBES grid data. The SDB method in this research used the Lyzenga (2006) model in the form of the Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) equation. The satellite image needs to be overlaid with in situ depth data to extract the value per pixel as the input parameter for the regression process. The result showed that the depth extraction of the SDB method in turbid water gave a good accuracy but with poor correlation. The best accuracy is indicated by the RMSE value of 0,820 m for a depth range of 5 to 10 m. Looking at the standardization of accuracy, namely SNI 8202 of 2015, this accuracy meets the 5 m interval category for LPI mapping with a scale of 1:10.000. However, the best correlation is only 0,137. This low correlation is probably caused by the depth samples which are only in the navigation channel, the depth identification which is only based on visible spectral light, and the research location is quite turbid due to the impact of river estuary sedimentation.
