Nganjuk sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Nganjuk district which is categorized as an industrial area with the densest population density. The area used for industrial and residential purposes can result in a lack of Green Open Space in Nganjuk District. The availability of green open space is very important for urban areas because it can reduce air pollution. Based on this, in the activity of making this final project, an analysis of the availability of green open space is carried out as an effort to provide information about green open space in Nganjuk District. This information can be used as a reference in making policies regarding detailed spatial plans in Nganjuk District. The main data used in this final project is Sentinel-2 image data in 2020. Sentinel-2 image data is processed using software QGIS, ENVI and ArcMap. The methods used in this final project are (NDVI) Normalized Difference Vegetation Index and SAVI (Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index) . In this case, the bands used for the vegetation density process are the red band and the band NIR (Near Infrared). Validation of the results of the two methods was carried out using Google Earth Pro as a reference. This study resulted in a classification of vegetation density in 5 classes, namely water bodies, sparse vegetation, dense vegetation, dense vegetation, and very dense vegetation. Vegetation density using the NDVI method is dominated by dense vegetation density with an area of 1063.54 ha, while the SAVI method is dominated by a fairly dense vegetation density with an area of 1193.35 ha. The NDVI method is recommended for determining green space using the vegetation index method because it has a better overall accuracy value of 86% and avalue kappa coefficient of 0.825, while the SAVI method has anvalue overall accuracy of 80% and avalue kappa coefficient of 0.75. Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the availability of green open space using the NDVI method are 54.28% of the Nganjuk sub-district area, while the SAVI method is 40.48% of the Nganjuk sub-district area. Based on the results of the calculation of the area and referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 05/PRT/M/2008, the availability of green open space in Nganjuk sub-district is sufficient because it is more than 30% of the total area.
