Perubahan Garis Pantai dan Luas Wilayah Pesisir Kabupaten Brebes Periode 1994-2020

Kabupaten Brebes merupakan salah satu kabupaten di pesisir utara Pulau Jawa yang memiliki peran krusial di bidang ekonomi. Kondisi morfologi pantai Kabupaten Brebes yang dinamis dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan sosio-ekonomi masyarakat pesisir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perubahan garis pantai dan luas wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Brebes selama kurun waktu 26 tahun (1994-2020). Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah citra Landsat 5 TM, Landsat 7 ETM+, dan Landsat 8 OLI dan metode yang digunakan adalah interpretasi visual. Selama periode 1994-2020 garis pantai di Kabupaten Brebes bertambah panjang dari 57,93 km (1994) menjadi 63,63 km (2020). Perubahan signifikan luas area pesisir terjadi di Kecamatan Brebes dan Kecamatan Losari. Secara keseluruhan abrasi dan akresi mendominasi kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Brebes dengan luas abrasi 970,64 ha dan luas akresi 877,91 ha. Faktor penyebab perubahan garis pantai Kabupaten Brebes diduga adalah morfologi pantai, arus sepanjang pantai, gelombang laut, dan sedimentasi.

The Brebes Regency is one of the regencies in the north coast of Java Island which has a crucial role in the economy. The dynamics of coastal morphology of the Brebes Regency can affect the socio-economic life of the coastal community. The purpose of this study was to determine the shoreline changes of the Brebes Regency over a period of 26 years (1994-2020). The data used in this study are Landsat 5 TM, Landsat 7 ETM +, and Landsat 8 OLI and the method used is visual interpretation. During the period of 1994-2020, the shoreline in the Brebes Regency grew in length from 57.93 km (1994) to 63.63 km (2020). Significant changes in the coastal area occurred in the Districts of Brebes and Losari. Overall, abrasion and accretion dominate the coastal area of the Brebes Regency with an abrasion area of 970.64 ha and an accretion area of 877.91 ha. Factors causing shoreline changes in the Brebes Regency are suspected to be coastal morphology, longshore currents, ocean waves, and sedimentation.
