PROFIL GANGGUAN REPRODUKSI PADA SAPI POTONG BETINA DI KABUPATEN WONOGIRI DITINJAU BERDASARKAN BODY CONDITION SCORE (BCS)

Sektor peternakan di Kabupaten Wonogiri relatif potensial dengan tingkat populasi sapi potong yang meningkat setiap tahunnya, namun realita yang terjadi masih banyak dijumpai kasus gangguan reproduksi pada sapi potong betina. Faktor penyebab gangguan reproduksi sangat variatif, salah satunya yaitu body condition score (BCS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil gangguan reproduksi berdasarkan BCS pada sapi potong betina di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang didapat dari Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan dan Peternakan Kabupaten Wonogiri sebanyak 1002 sampel sapi dengan spesifikasi BCS 2 dan BCS 3 pada sapi potong betina yang mengalami gangguan reproduksi. Data yang didapat kemudian dilakukan analisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa macam gangguan reproduksi pada sapi potong betina di Kabupaten Wonogiri adalah hipofungsi ovarium, silent heat, corpus luteum persisten, endometritis, sista ovarium, kawin berulang, dan retensi plasenta. Gangguan reproduksi yang sering terjadi pada sapi dengan BCS 2 adalah hipofungsi ovarium, sedangkan pada sapi dengan BCS 3 adalah silent heat.

The Livestock sector in Wonogiri Regency is relatively potential with the rate of beef cattle population that increasing every year, but in reality, there are many cases of reproductive disorders that still often found in female beef cattle. Factors that cause reproductive disorders are vary widely, one of them is Body Condition Score (BCS). This research aims to study the profile of reproductive disorders on female beef cattle in Wonogiri Regency based on BCS. This study used secondary data that obtained from the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries and Animal Husbandry of Wonogiri Regency as many as 1002 samples of cows with specifications of BCS 2 and BCS 3 on female beef cattle with reproductive disorders. Then, the data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study using secondary data showed that the incidence rate of reproductive disorders in beef cattle with BCS 2 and 3 were hypofunction of ovary, silent heat, persistent corpus luteum, endometritis, ovarian cysts, repeat breeding, and placental retention. The most frequent reproductive disorder in cattle with BCS 2 is hypofunction of ovary, meanwhile in cattle with BCS 3 is silent heat.
