Hubungan Pola Asuh Orang Tua Terhadap Perawatan Diri Toileting Pada Anak Disabilitas Fisik Di SLB N 1 Bantul

Latar Belakang: Masalah yang sering dialami oleh anak dengan disabilitas fisik adalah kurangnya kemampuan serta adanya keterbatasan kemampuan dalam kemandirian yaitu dalam hal toileting dan dalam hal mengurus diri (berpakaian, oral hygiene, mandi). Salah satu hal yang dapat mempengaruhi perawatan diri adalah pola pengasuhan orang tua. Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua terhadap perawatan diri toileting pada anak disabilitas fisik di SLB N 1 Bantul. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan cross-sectional design dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SLB N 1 Bantul dengan sampel 37 remaja disabilitas fisik (usia 10 � 22 tahun) beserta orang tua/wali yang bersedia menjadi responden penelitian. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Parenting Style Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) dan Nursing Outcome Classification (NOC) Perawatan Diri Toileting. Analisa data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden anak mengalami kesulitan pada beberapa indikator toileting yaitu indikator menempatkan diri dalam kloset dan melakukan cebok secara mandiri setelah buang air besar (43,2%). Sebagian besar orang tua menggunakan pola asuh jenis authoritative (94,6%). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap perawatan diri toileting anak disabilitas fisik di SLB N 1 Bantul (p=0,399). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap perawatan diri toileting anak disabilitas fisik di SLB N 1 Bantul.

Background: Lack of ability and limited ability in self-reliance are problems that are often experienced by children with physical disabilities such us in terms of toileting and self-care (dress, oral hygiene,bathing). One of the factors that can affect self-care is parenting style. Research Objectives: To investigate the relationship between parenting style and self-care toileting in children with physical disabilities in SLB N 1 Bantul. Method: This research was cross-sectional design with quantitative approach. The research was conducted in SLB N 1 Bantul with a sample of 37 adolescents with physical disabilities (ages 10-22 years) along with parents who are willing to be respondents to the study. Data were collected using Parenting Style Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) and Nursing Outcome Classification (NOC) Toileting Personal Care. Univariate and bivariate analysis was used to analyze data. Result: Most respondents had difficulty in some toileting indicators, namely the indicator of placing themselves in the toilet and wash independently after defecation (43.2%).. Most parents used authoritative parenting style (94.6%). There was no relationship between the parenting style to the self-care (toileting) of children with physical disabilities in SLB N 1 Bantul(p= 0.399). Conclusion: There is no relationship between the parenting style to the self-care (toileting) of children with physical disabilities in SLB N 1 Bantul.
