PENGARUH KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI TERHADAP PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT MENGENAI HUTAN MANGROVE WANATIRTA DI DESA JANGKARAN KECAMATAN TEMON KABUPATEN KULON PROGO

Kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat Desa Jangkaran dipengaruhi oleh keberadaan Hutan Mangrove Wanatirta. Penelitian ini terdapat tiga tujuan, yaitu untuk mengetahui : (1) Kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat pengelola Hutan Mangrove Wanatirta, (2) Persepsi masyarakat mengenai Hutan Mangrove Wanatirta, (3) Pengaruh kondisi sosial ekonomi terhadap persepsi masyarakat mengenai Hutan Mangrove Wanatirta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei sebagai metode dasar. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan sensus. Populasi penelitian adalah masyarakat Desa Jangkaran kelompok pengelola dan pemanfaat hutan mangrove berjumlah 61 orang. Teknik pengambilan data primer dilakukan dengan wawancara kuisioner dan observasi. Data sekunder diambil dengan dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian berada di Desa Jangkaran, Kecamatan Temon, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif untuk data kondisi sosial ekonomi dan persepsi. Analisis korelasi Rank Spearman digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kondisi sosial ekonomi dan persepsi masyarakat. Hasil analisis diperoleh Rata-rata pendapatan yang diperoleh masyarakat kelompok pengelola dan pemanfaat hutan mangrove sebesar Rp4.600.000,-./bulan, 64% masyarakat sering mengikuti kegiatan pendidikan mengenai hutan mangrove, 49% masyarakat bekerja sebagai pengelola dan petani hutan mangrove. Persepsi masyarakat Desa Jangkaran mengenai Hutan Mangrove Wanatirta termasuk dalam kriteria cukup baik. Masyarakat memahami kondisi hutan mangrove, manfaat, fungsi dan dampak penting dari hutan mangrove, masyarakat memahami pengelolaan dan pemeliharaan mangrove. Variabel kondisi sosial ekonomi berpengaruh terhadap variabel persepsi masyarakat mengenai Hutan Mangrove Wanatirta, korelasi berada pada kategori kuat dan memiliki hubungan yang searah.

The socio-economic condition of the people of Jangkaran Village is influenced by the existence of the Wanatirta Mangrove Forest. This research has three objectives, namely to determine: (1) the socio-economic condition of the community managing the Wanatirta Mangrove Forest, (2) Public perception of the Wanatirta Mangrove Forest, (3) The influence of socio-economic conditions on community perceptions of the Wanatirta Mangrove Forest. This study uses a survey method as the basic method. The data collection technique was done by using a census. The study population was the people of Jangkaran Village, a group of managers and users of the mangrove forest, totaling 61 people. The primary data collection technique was carried out by interviewing questionnaires and observations. Secondary data is taken by documentation. The research location is in Jangkaran Village, Temon District, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The data analysis method was carried out by using quantitative descriptive analysis for data on socio-economic conditions and perceptions. Rank Spearman correlation analysis was used to determine the effect of socio-economic conditions and public perceptions. The results of the analysis obtained that the average income obtained by the mangrove forest management and user group was IDR 4,600,000 / month, 64% of the community often participated in educational activities regarding mangrove forests, 49% of the community worked as managers and farmers of mangrove forests. The perception of the people of Jangkaran Village regarding the Wanatirta Mangrove Forest is categorized as quite good. The community understands the condition of mangrove forests, the benefits, functions and important impacts of mangrove forests, the community understands mangrove management and maintenance. The variable of socio-economic conditions affects the variable of people's perceptions about the Wanatirta Mangrove Forest, the correlation is in the strong category and has a unidirectional relationship.
