Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang konsep kesejahteraan sosial lanjut usia dalam UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 Tentang Kesejahteraan Lanjut Usia menggunakan tinjauan filsafat sosial Pierre Bourdieu. Konsep-konsep filsafat sosial Pierre Bourdieu yang digunakan adalah habitus, modal, arena, dan praktik. Konsep-konsep tersebut ada oleh Pierre Bourdieu yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan reproduksi sosial. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif mengenai fenomena aktual. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode hermeneutika filosofis dengan tahap pengumpulan data berupa persiapan, proses pengumpulan data, inventarisasi data, klasifiasi data, analisis data, evaluasi kritis. Tahap analisis hasil berupa deskripsi, interpretasi, heuristika, serta refleksi kritis. Data-data diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan. Objek material dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep kesejahteraan sosial dalam UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 Tentang Kesejahteraan Lanjut Usia, sedangkan objek formal dalam penelitian ini adalah filsafat sosial Pierre Bourdieu yang diperoleh dari buku yang ditulis Pierre Bourdieu A Distinction dan An Invitation to Reflextive Sociology. Hasil dari penelitian ini pertama, konsep kesejahteraan sosial lanjut usia dalam UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 adalah ketika lanjut usia (lansia) memiliki perasaan aman lahir dan batin karena telah terpenuhinya kebutuhan jasmani dan rohani. Di Indonesia dalam UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial lanjut usia dilaksanakan melalui jalan pemberdayaan yang didalamnya ada pelatihan; pendidikan; kesempatan kerja, dan melalui charity yang berupa rehabilitasi sosial, jaminan sosial, dan perlindungan sosial. Kedua, hasil penelitian ini bahwa konsep kesejahteraan sosial lanjut usia dalam UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 ditinjau dari filsafat sosial Pierre Bourdieu adalah habitus muncul dalam pembuatan UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 yang masih mengacu pada undang-undang sebelumnya yang ditujukan pemberian bantuan pada orang jompo; modal ekonomi hasil kerja lansia dan bantuan yang didapat lansia, modal budaya yang diperoleh lansia dari budaya penghormatan terhadap lansia dan budaya yang dimiliki lansia sejak lampau, modal sosial yang ada pada jaringan hasil interaksi lansia, modal simbolik yang muncul pada fisik dan sifat lansia; arena keluarga, masyarakat, dan negara bagi lanjut usia mengaktualisasikan dirinya; praktik berupa dominasi hasil penyelenggaraan UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998.

This study aims to examine the concept of social welfare for the elderly in UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 about welfare for elderly using the social philosophy of Pierre Bourdieu. Pierre Bourdieu's social philosophical concepts used are habitus, capital, arena, and practice. These concepts exist by Pierre Bourdieu which aims to explain social reproduction. This study is a qualitative study of actual phenomena. The method used is the philosophical hermeneutic method with data collection stages in the form of preparation, data collection process, data inventory, data classification, data analysis, critical evaluation. The result analysis stage consists of description, interpretation, heuristics, and critical reflection. The data were obtained through literature study. The material object in this study is the concept of social welfare in Law Number 13 of 1998 about welfare for elderly, while the formal object in this study is the social philosophy of Pierre Bourdieu which is obtained from books written by Pierre Bourdieu A Distinction and An Invitation to Reflextive Sociology. The results of this study are first, the concept of social welfare for the elderly in UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 is when the elderly have feelings of physical and mental security because of their physical and spiritual needs have been fulfilled. In Indonesia, in UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998, efforts to improve the social welfare of the elderly are carried out through empowerment, which includes training; education; job opportunities, and through charity in the form of social rehabilitation, social security, and social protection. Second, the results of this study shows that the concept of social welfare for the elderly in UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 in terms of Pierre Bourdieu's social philosophy is that habitus appears in the making of UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998 which still refers to the previous law aimed at providing assistance to the elderly; economic capital from the work of the elderly and assistance obtained by the elderly, cultural capital obtained by the elderly from the culture of respect for the elderly and the culture that the elderly have had since a long time ago, the social capital in the network resulting from the interaction of the elderly, a symbolic capital that appears in the physical and character of the elderly; the arena of family, society, and state for the elderly to actualize themselves; practice in the form of dominating the results of the implementation of UU Nomor 13 Tahun 1998.
