TERAPI SAPI DIARE DI PETERNAKAN PT HASTA KARYA DAMAI MANUNGGAL BOYOLALI

Diare merupakan salah satu penyakit yang sangat mempengaruhi produktivitas ternak sapi dan perekonomian peternak di seluruh dunia. Kasus diare dapat disebabkan oleh faktor infeksi maupun non infeksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah identifikasi diare pada sapi dan terapinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan sapi di peternakan PT Hasta Karya Damai Manunggal, Boyolali. Semua sapi diperiksa kondisi fesesnya secara fisik, untuk feses sapi yang menderita diare akan berubah menjadi lembek atau cair dan untuk kondisi normal feses sapi berbentuk menggumpal. Sapi yang mengalami diare diobati dengan obat kombinasi Sulfadiazine 1.000 mg dan Trimethoprim 200 mg berbentuk bolus, dengan rute pemerian secara peroral. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa sebanyak 33 dari 120 ekor sapi (27,5 %) menderita diare. Hasil pengobatan menunjukkan kesembuhan 18 ekor sapi (55 %). Berdasarkan penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa diare adalah salah satu penyakit yang sering terjadi di peternakan PT Hasta Karya Damai Manunggal dengan tingkat kesembuhan terapi 55%.

Diarrhea is one of the disease that greadly affect productibility livestock cattle and breeder economic in the world. Diarrhea causes can be cases by a infection factor or non infection factor. The purpose of observation is diarrhea identification for cattle and diarrhea therapy. The observation used a cattle at farm PT Hasta Karya Damai Manunggal Boyolali. All cattle get physical feses checked, for cattle feces suffering from diarrhea will be change to soft or runny and for normal condition cattle feces are lumpy. Cattle that have diarrhea are treated with drug combination that consist of Sulfadiazine 1,000 mg and Trimethoprim 200 mg in the shape of a bolus, with an oral route. The reseach yielded as much as 33 of 120 cattle (27,5 %) suffering from diarrhea. The medical records show the recovery of 18 cattels (55%). The result of diarrhea therapy is one of the mostbcommon diseases at PT Hasta Karya Damai Manunggal with healing levels 55%.
