Disertasi ini membahas tentang perubahan pada faktor-faktor penyebab transformasi gerakan sosial Kasus Umbul Gemulo di Kota Wisata Batu. Perubahan pada tiga faktor penyebab ini adalah entitas gerakan dari warga desa sekitar Umbul Gemulo menjadi inklusif, isu gerakan berubah dari isu lokal masalah potensi kerusakan mata air akibat pembangunan hotel menjadi isu penyelamatan lingkungan Kota Wisata Batu dan perubahan strategi gerakan dari jangka pendek ke jangka panjang. Transformasi gerakan sosial kasus Umbul Gemulo terjadi karena campur tangan dari luar komunitas pelaku gerakan awal, faktor perubahan isu strategis, dan perubahan strategi dari eksklusif menjadi inklusif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kerja lapangan dari tahun 2016 hingga 2017 di Dusun Cangar, Desa Bukukerto, Kota Wisata Batu, studi pustaka dan diskusi.

This dissertation discussed the change of the causative factors of social movement transformation of Umbul Gemulo Case in Batu Tourism City. The changes to these three causative factors are the movement entity of villagers around Umbul Gemulo to be inclusive, the issue of potential damage movement has changed from a local issue the problem of spring damage caused by a hotel construction to the issue of environment saving of Batu Tourism city and the change of movement strategy from short to long term. The transformation of Umbul Gemulo social movement occured because of intervention from outside the community of early movement actor, a factor in changing strategic issues, and a change in strategy from exclusive to inclusive. Data was collected through fieldwork from 2016 to 2017 in Cangar Hamlet, Bulukerto Village, Batu Tourism City, literature study and disccusion.
