Tugas akhir ini berjudul Terjemahan Bab 2 dan Bab 3 Novel Jepang Doroppu Karya Kasumi. Novel Doroppu bercerita tentang seorang pelajar SMA bernama Maho yang belum bisa melupakan mantan kekasihnya yang bernama Kenji. Bab 2 bercerita tentang sakit hati yang dirasakan oleh Maho, sedangkan Bab 3 bercerita tentang kekasih baru Kenji. Novel ini dipilih karena alur cerita yang menarik dan mudah dipahami. Cerita di dalamnya dapat dijadikan referensi bagi siapa saja yang sedang bimbang atau memiliki kisah hidup yang hampir sama. Selain itu, novel ini juga belum pernah diterjemahkan kedalam bahasa Indonesia. Kendala dalam menerjemahkan novel ini adalah menemukan padanan kata yang sesuai dengan bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu terdapat idiom yang memerlukan penelusuran makna terlebih dahulu untuk dapat menemukan makna yang sesuai. Hasil penerjemahan tugas akhir ini sangat memperhatikan penggunaan ungkapan agar rasa terjemahan yang disampaikan tidak jauh berbeda dari rasa tulisan versi asli.

The subject of this final paper is Translation of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of the Japanese Novel Doroppu by Kasumi. This novel tells the story of a high school student named Maho who has not been able to forget his former lover named Kenji. Chapter 2 tells about the heartache that Maho's felt and Chapter 3 tells about Kenji's new lover. This novel was chosen because the story is interesting and easy to understand. The love story of Maho can be used as a reference for anyone who is hesitant or has a life story that is almost the same with her. In addition, this novel has never been translated into Indonesian. There are some problems encountered during the translation process. It is difficult to find an equivalent of Indonesian words for the reader. In addition, there are idioms that require searching for meaning in advance to be able to find an appropriate meaning. The result of this translation is concerned about the expression and trying to deliver the story as best as possible to make the readers understand the meaning and expressions in the story easily.
