Dunia saat ini sedang menghadapi Revolusi Industri Keempat, era digital di mana teknologi mengubah cara orang hidup dan bekerja serta membentuk kegiatan sehari-hari kita. Teknologi yang dibawa oleh revolusi industri keempat telah membawa dampak positif dan negatif terhadap lapangan kerja. E-commerce, sebagai salah satu kegiatan ekonomi yang dilakukan menggunakan platform digital, telah menawarkan kemudahan dalam melakukan bisnis, tanpa dibatasi oleh waktu dan ruang. Pesatnya pertumbuhan e-commerce telah menarik banyak pemuda di Indonesia untuk bekerja di sektor ini, karena mereka melihat potensi dan peluang kerja baru dan fleksibilitas yang ditawarkan. Namun, banyak pemuda yang terlibat dalam e-commerce tidak menyadari risiko yang dapat terjadi ketika mereka menjalankan bisnis mereka. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis dampak Revolusi Industri Keempat di sektor e-commerce dan tren pekerjaan yang berubah dari formal ke informal serta perubahan the nature of work dan perspektif tentang jaminan sosial bagi kaum muda di Indonesia.

The world nowadays is facing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a digital era where technology is changing the way people live and work and shaping our daily activities. The technologies brought by the fourth industrial revolution has brought positive and negative impacts on employment. E-commerce, as one of the economic activities conducted using the digital platform, has offered convenience in doing business, without limited by time and physical space. The rapid growth of e-commerce has attracted many young people in Indonesia to work in this sector, as they see the potential of new job opportunities and the flexibility offered. However, many young people who are engaged in e-commerce are not aware of the risks that could occur when they run their business. This research will analyse the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the e-commerce sector and the shifting employment trends from formal to informal to the nature of work and the perspective on social security for young people in Indonesia.
