ADA APA DENGAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI KOMIKA DISABILITAS FISIK BAWAAN?

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran stand up comedy untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri pada individu dengan disabilitas fisik bawaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Jumlah subjek terdiri dari tiga orang komika dengan disabilitas fisik bawaanyang diperoleh melalui metode snowball sampling. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa subjek dengan disabilitas fisik bawaan mengalami permasalahan berupa perundungan yang menjadikan munculnya rasa rendah diri dan emosi yang tidak stabil. Para subjek mengikuti stand up comedy dengan beralasan keseruan di dalam stand up comedy. Namun, stand up comedy menjadi bentuk positive reappraisal dari keadaan subjek dengan disabilitas fisiknya. Proses kreatif dan komunitas juga berperan dalam membentuk penerimaan pada diri serta proses berdamai dengan kekurangan fisiknya. Penerimaan diri dan berdamai dengan diri merupakan dasar dari munculnya kepercayaan diri subjek dengan disabilitas fisik bawaan. Faktor lain seperti keluarga, prestasi, popularitas, lingkungan juga memberikan pengaruh dalam peningkatan kepercayaan diri subjek dengan disabilitas fisik bawaan. Meskipun stand up comedy tidak dapat menjadi media peningkatan kepercayaan diri semua jenis disabilitas.

This study aims to determine the role of stand up comedy to increase self-confidence in individuals with inherited physical disabilities. This study uses a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. The number of subjects consisted of three comic people with physical disabilities who were obtained through the snowball sampling method. In this study, it was found that subjects with physical disability experienced problems in the form of abuse that made the emergence of feelings of inferiority and emotional instability. The subjects followed the stand up comedy reasoned excitement in the stand up comedy. However, stand up comedy becomes a positive reappraisal of the state of the subject with their physical disabilities. The creative process and the community also play a role in forming self-acceptance and the process of making peace with their physical limitations. Self-acceptance and reconciliation with the self are the basis of the emergence of self-confidence in subjects with physical disabilities. Other factors such as family, achievement, popularity, environment also influence the increase of comic self confidence with innate physical disability. Although stand up comedy cannot be a media for increasing the confidence of all types of disabilities.
