Sekolah Berasrama di Yogyakarta dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Bioklimatik

Pelaksanaan pendidikan di Indonesia, sebagaimana diatur pada Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 19 tahun 2005 mengenai Standar Pendidikan Nasional, telah dijamin pemerintah dalam pemerataan serta peningkatan mutu pendidikan di tengah perubahan global. Hal ini ditujukan agar warga Indonesia menjadi manusia yang bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, cerdas, produktif, dan berdaya saing tinggi dalam pergaulan nasional maupun internasional. Kerap dijuluki sebagai Kota Pelajar, Yogyakarta menarik minat orangtua untuk menyekolahkan anaknya di kota ini. Kota Yogyakarta yang strategis, berbudaya, dan terus berkembang, sangat mendukung sebagai lingkungan pendidikan salah satunya fasilitas sekolah berasrama. Keberadaannya akan mewarnai ragam pilihan fasilitas pendidikan di Kota Pelajar, terutama dari segi pendalaman pendidikan agama. Sekolah berasrama diharapkan dapat menjamin mutu pendidikan serta berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Namun perkembangan infrastruktur dan bangunan di Yogyakarta nampak masih belum mengutamakan responsibilitas bangunan terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Efeknya dapat dirasakan baik secara fisik maupun non-fisik oleh pengguna bangunan. Maka dari itu, desain bangunan sekolah berasrama harus bisa berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan integrasi baik antara bangunan dan lingkungan sekitar. Sarana dan prasarana sekolah berasrama berperan menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran, terlebih ketika perancangannya baik dalam merespon lingkungan sekitar. Siswa akan hidup dalam lingkungan yang terintegrasi antara alam dan bangunan, sehingga kehidupan dalam sekolah berasrama dapat berdinamika sesuai keadaan lingkungan sekitar. Perencanaan dan perancangan Sekolah Berasrama di Yogyakarta dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Bioklimatik ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia dalam perkembangan global dengan menerapkan konsep gaya hidup hemat energi serta responsif terhadap iklim lingkungan.

The implementation of education in Indonesia, as stipulated in Government Regulation Number 19 of 2005 concerning National Education Standards, has been guaranteed by the government in the distribution and improvement of the quality of education amid global changes. This is intended so that Indonesian citizens become human beings who fear God Almighty, are noble, intelligent, productive, and highly competitive in national and international relations. Often referred to as the Student City, Yogyakarta attracts parents to send their children to school in this city. The city of Yogyakarta which is strategic, cultured, and continues to grow, is very supportive as an educational environment, one of which is boarding school facilities. Its existence will color the various choices of educational facilities in Student Cities, especially in terms of deepening religious education. Boarding schools are expected to guarantee the quality of education and play an important role in the formation of student character. However, the development of infrastructure and buildings in Yogyakarta seems to still not prioritize the responsibility of buildings to the surrounding environment. The effect can be felt both physically and non-physically by building users. Therefore, the design of boarding school buildings must be able to contribute to improving the good integration between buildings and the surrounding environment. Facilities and infrastructure for boarding schools play a role in supporting learning activities, especially when designing well in responding to the surrounding environment. Students will live in an environment that is integrated between nature and buildings, so that life in boarding schools can dynamically match the environment. The planning and design of the Dormitory School in Yogyakarta with the Bioclimatic Architecture Approach is expected to improve the quality of human resources in global development by applying energy-saving lifestyle concepts and being responsive to the climate of the environment.
