Museum Hutan Kota Sungkur di Klaten dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Organik

Deforestasi dan kondisi manusia yang kurang peduli dengan lingkungan menyebabkan perubahan iklim drastis di bumi. Pada satu dekade terakhir di Indonesia sendiri telah kehilangan hutan di luar area konsesi mencapai 45%, hanya selisih 10% dari area konsesi. Beberapa akibat yang ditimbulkan dari kerusakan hutan dan lingkungan yaitu meningkatnya suhu di bumi dan naiknya permukaan air laut. Kondisi seperti ini jika dibiarkan akan mengakibatkan kerusakan bumi dan ekosistem yang ada di dalamnya. Dalam upaya memberikan edukasi mengenai pentingnya menjaga hutan dan lingkungan tersebut, diperlukan satu fasilitas museum hutan kota sebagai upaya untuk menggetarkan perasaan dan kepedulian serta mengedukasi masyarakat, terutama yang berada di kota. Pendekatan arsitektur organik digunakan untuk menciptakan suasana ruang yang dapat memberikan kejutan dan pengaruh bagi pengunjung, merespon kondisi eksisting tapak dengan baik, dan menjadikan bangunan tumbuh dan khas pada tapaknya. Beberapa masalah dalam perancangan museum hutan kota ini adalah (1) bagaimana memanfaatkan kondisi tapak yang berupa kawasan hutan kota sebagai fungsi museum. (2) bagaimana menyusun sebuah ruang display museum yang berkaitan dengan isu lingkungan, urban, dan hutan. (3) bagaimana menciptakan suasana ruang yang kuat sesuai dengan cerita, pesan, dan edukasi yang ingin disampaikan. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka solusi desain museum hutan kota dengan pendekatan arsitektur organik dan melalui alur cerita yang dihadirkan dalam museum dapat menjadi fungsi baru yang edukatif dan rekreatif mengenai hutan dan lingkungan.

Deforestation and human conditions that are less concerned with the environment cause drastic climate change on earth. In the past decade in Indonesia, there has been 45% of forest loss outside the concession area, only difference of 10% from the concession area. Some of the consequences of damage to forests and the environment are increasing temperatures on the earth and rising sea levels. This condition if not noticed will cause damage to the earth and the ecosystem. An effort to provide education on the importance of protecting forests and the environment, a urban forest museum facility is needed as an effort to thrill feelings and caring also educate the public, especially those in the city. The organic architecture approach is used to create a space atmosphere that can provide surprises and influence to visitors, respond to the conditions of the existing site well, and make the building grow and typical on its site. Some of the problems in designing this urban forest museum are (1) how to utilize the site conditions in the form of urban forest areas as a function of the museum. (2) how to compile a museum display room related to environmental, urban, and forest issues. (3) how to create a strong space atmosphere in accordance with the story, message, and education to be communicated. From these problems, the urban forest museum design solution with the approach of organic architecture and through the storyline presented in the museum can be an educative and recreative new function regarding forests and the environment.
