STUDI GAMBARAN DARAH PADA KUDA SANDEL (Equus caballus) DI MUNTILAN, KABUPATEN MAGELANG

Kuda andong merupakan salah satu alat transportasi yang hingga saat ini masih digemari masyakarat, akan tetapi dalam pengontrolan kesehatannya masih kurang baik. Pemeriksaan darah merupakan salah satu cara yang mudah dilakukan untuk menganalisis kesehatan kuda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran darah dari kuda Sandel (Equus caballus) di Muntilan, Kabupaten Magelang yang kemudian dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis kesehatan kuda. Sampel diambil dari 22 kuda andong yang ada di Pasar Muntilan sebanyak 2,5 ml kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam tabung darah dengan EDTA. Adapun pemeriksaan dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Hewan Prof. Soeparwi dan Laboratorium Patologi Klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan UGM. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan didapatkan hasil yaitu hematokrit 37,8%, hemoglobin 11,5 g/dL, trombosit 163,1 x 103sel/µL, total eritrosit 7,1 x 106sel/µL, dan total leukosit sebesar 7,4 x 103 sel/mm3, MCV 53,7 fl, MCHC 30,3%, MCH 16,2 pg, basofil 324 sel/mm3, eosinofil 67 sel/mm3, neutrofil band 42 sel/mm3, neutrofil bersegmen 4134 sel/mm3, limfosit 2590 sel/mm3, dan monosit 256 sel/mm3. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan hematokrit, hemoglobin, trombosit, total sel darah merah, total leukosit, eosinofil, neutrofil baik band maupun bersegmen, limfosit, dan monosit yang setara dengan referensi untuk kuda (warm-blooded horse), serta basofil yang lebih tinggi. Indeks eritrosit menunjukkan nilai MCV yang lebih tinggi, MCHC yang lebih rendah, dan MCH yang sama dengan referensi untuk kuda (warm-blooded horse).

Carriage horse is one of the most favorable transportation, however the health maintenance is still poor. The easiest way to analyze horses health is with whole blood test. The purpose of this study is to see the Sandel horse blood profile in Muntilan, Magelang which can be used to analyze horse’s health. This study used 22 samples from the carriage horses from Muntilan Traditional Market, whose blood was taken about 2,5 ml each and then put in the blood vial. The test was done in Animal Hospital Prof. Soeparwi and Clinical Pathology Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine Faculty UGM. The the tests result shows that hematocrit is in 37.8%, hemoglobin 11.5 g/dL, platelets 163.1 x 103 cell/µL, RBC count 7.1 x 106 cell/µL, WBC count 7.4 x 103 cell/mm3, MCV 53.7 fl, MCHC 30.3%, MCH 16.2 pg, basophil 324 cells/mm3, eosinophil 67 cells/mm3, band neutrophil 42 cells/mm3, segmented neutrophil 4134 cells/mm3, lymphocyte 2590 cells/mm3, and monocyte 256 cells/mm3. Those results show that the hematocrit, hemoglobin, platelets, RBC count, WBC count, MCH, eosinophil, band neutrophil, segmented neutrophil, lymphocyte, and monocyte are equal to the warm-blooded horses blood profile references. The basophil and MCV have higher value than the warm-blooded horses blood profile references, with MCHC have lower value than than the warm-blooded horses blood profile references.
