The analysis used is Importance Value Index, Variety Species Index, Type Richness Index, number regeneration distribution, and commercial species diameter in each different growth in young (5 years), medium (18 years), and old (29 years) LOA. Regeneration structure in LOA indicates the normal characteristic by formed "J" reverse curve. The pole and tree regeneration composition are increase its number from the young into old LOA, whereas the volume is decrease. The decrease is caused by the illegal logging and the work behavior of Inhutani I Ltd that harvest timber tree commercial species. The regeneration composition of sapling and seedling level in average LOA is at the lowest number rather than the old and young LOA. In other hand, the dominant commercial species of old and young LOA trees is kind of Dipterocarpaceae (Shorea sp.), class, beside the young LOA is dominated by non commercial species such as nyatoh (Palaquium sp.). The variety species value in each level of all LOA can be categorized as average level (1,5 3,5). Salah satu sistem silvikultur yang diterapkan adalah Tebang Pilih Tanam Indonesia (TPTI). Ketersediaan informasi mengenai kapasitas regenerasi menjadi landasan penting untuk menjadi panduan dalam pengelolaan hutan secara lestari, khususnya pada jenis-jenis komersial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) struktur, komposisi dan kapasitas regenerasi tingkat semai, sapihan, tiang dan pohon di areal bekas tebangan pada berbagai umur, (2) volume standing stocks jenis komersial di areal bekas tebangan pada berbagai umur. Penelitian dilakukan pada areal bekas tebangan di IUPHHK PT. Inhutani I, UMH Meraang, Kalimantan Timur. Metode yang digunakan yaitu inventarisasi dengan membuat Petak Ukur Permanen 100 m x 100 m yang terstruktur (nested sampling). Data yang diukur meliputi jenis, tinggi tanaman, diameter tanaman, tinggi batang bebas cabang, bentuk tajuk/lebar tajuk 4 sisi, dan tinggi tajuk terlebar. Analisis yang digunakan adalah Indeks Nilai Penting, Indeks Keanekaragaman Jenis, Indeks Kekayaan Jenis, distribusi jumlah permudaan dan diameter jenis komersial pada masing-masing tingkat pertumbuhan pada LOA muda (5 tahun), sedang (18 tahun) dan tua (29 tahun). Struktur permudaan pada areal bekas tebangan (LOA) menunjukkan karakteristik struktur permudaan hutan alam normal dengan membentuk kurva "J" terbalik. Komposisi permudaan tingkat tiang dan pohon mengalami peningkatan jumlah mulai dari LOA muda ke LOA tua, sedangkan volumenya mengalami penurunan. Penurunan volume ini diduga adanya illegal logging dan PT. Inhutani I hanya memanen jenis komersial meranti. Komposisi permudaan tingkat sapihan dan semai pada LOA sedang jumlahnya paling sedikit dibandingkan dengan LOA muda dan tua. Spesies yang mendominasi pada tingkat pohon di LOA sedang dan tua adalah jenis komersial kelas Dipterocarpaceae (Shorea sp.), sedangkan untuk LOA muda didominasi jenis non komersial seperti nyatoh (Palaquium sp.). Nilai keanekaragaman jenis pada setiap tingkatan pada semua LOA termasuk tingkat sedang (1,5 - 3,5). Nilai kekayaan jenis pada LOA sedang termasuk dalam tingkat tinggi (R1 > 5,0) dan untuk LOA muda dan tua termasuk dalam tingkat sedang (3,5 5,0).
