FABRIKASI NANOFIBER GELATIN DENGAN PENAMBAHAN ETHYLENE GLYCOL DAN SURFAKTAN MELALUI ELEKTROSPINING DAN POTENSINYA SEBAGAI POLIMER ELEKTROLIT PADA BATERAI ION-LITIUM; PREPARATION OF GELATIN NANOFIBER WITH THE ADDITION OF ETHYLENE GLYCOL AND SURFACTANT BY THE ELECTROSPINNING AND THEIR POTENCY AS POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERIES

2014 | Disertasi | PROGRAM STUDI S2 ILMU FISIKABiodegradable polymers, gelatin has been successfully fabricated being nanofiber by using electrospinning and examined its potential for a polymer electrolyte in lithium- ion batteries. Fabrication of gelatin nanofiber is done by dissolving gelatin in low consentration of acetic acid and ethylene glycol, varying the mass of surfactant, control of the temperature, stirring time, the electric field, and the collector distance of electrospinning. To study the potential of nanofiber through mofologi structure, molecular clusters, crystallinity and compatibility with the electrolyte salt. Morphological structure is analyzed through the solution properties such as conductivity, surface tension, pH and viscosity. The results of analysis scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed an maximum increase of fiber diameter on the sample with the addition of surfactant 0,045g. Diameter of the fiber depends on the surfactant concentration. The addition of salt LiCO3 causes a decrease fiber diameter of 17 nm and showed no change in fiber visibility. Analysis of infra-red spectroscopy (IR spectroscopy) showed that gelatin nanofiber can be modified by the addition of surfactant. Modification proved that the surfactant does not affect the sharpness of the uptake of gelatin that has compatibility with the electrolyte material. In addition, the results of the analysis of x-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that the gelatin nanofiber with or without the addition of a surfactant having an amorphous crystalline structure, thus sharpening that gelatin nanofiber has potential as polymer electrolyte matrix in lithium- ion batteries because it has the ability of good compatibility with the electrolyte material.
