ANALISIS TERHADAP DISTRIBUSI AKTIVITAS ISOTOP RADON (Rn) DI UDARA DI AREA CANDI PRAMBANAN; ANALYSIS OF RADON (Rn) ISOTOPE ACTIVITY DISTRIBUTION IN THE AIR OF PRAMBANAN TEMPLE AREA

Analyses of the radon isotope activity distributions in the air of Prambanan Temple area has been conducted. The research used ?-spectroscopy method. Radon Isotope activities are determined by sampling air through air filter paper (Whatman- 41) on the air-sampling device (Vacuum Pump) for 10,800 seconds. Air samples are enumerated for 7,200 seconds using SSB (Silicon Surface Barrier) Detector. The results show that the Prambanan Temple area is declared to be safe from radiation of radioactive gas, because the contents of radioactive Radon, Toron, and Aktinon were still lastham the permitted threshold by BAPETEN i.e. a maximum of 4 x 106 Bq/m3 for radon (Rn222) gas and 4 x 102 Bq/m3 for Toron (Rn220) and aktinon (Rn219) gas. The concentrations of Radioactive Radon, Toron, and Aktinon are (2.05; 2.56; 7.17) mBq/m3 for point I, (4.09; 0; 3.58) mBq/m3 for point II, (3.07; 5.12; 2.56) mBq/m3 for point III, (0; 3.07; 1.02) mBq/m3 for point V, (0; 0; 2.56) mBq/m3 for point VI, (2.05; 0; 0) mBq/m3 for point VII, (0; 0; 2.56) mBq/m3 for point VIII, and (2.56; 0; 3.58) mBq/m3 for point IX. While in point IV radon isotope activities are not detected.
