KOMPOSISI IKAN DAN LAJU TANGKAP JARING PURSE SEINE DI PERAIRAN LAUT PULAU BAWEAN KABUPATEN GRESIK

Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli - September 2017. Gerombolan ikan ditangkap menggunakan jaring purse seine dengan panjang sekitar 270 m, kedalaman jaring sekitar 60 m, serta ukuran mata jaring 1 inchi. Lokasi penangkapan berada di perairan laut Pulau Bawean Kabupaten Gresik. Secara keseluruhan ada 20 trip dengan 22 hauling. Sampel ikan diambil secara acak dari hasil tangkapan dan dihitung jumlahnya, diukur panjang dan beratnya serta di analisis secara deskripif. Hasil tangkapan diperoleh jenis ikan sebanyak 16 spesies dan 1 spesies cumi-cumi. Jenis ikan yang paling banyak tertangkap adalah Layang (Decapterus macrosoma) sebanyak (29,73%) , Selar bentong (Selar crumenophthalmus) sebanyak (14,56%), Selar komo (Atule mate) sebanyak (7,89%), dan Tembang (Sardinella fimbriata) sebanyak (7,28%). Sebaran panjang dan berat ikan didominasi oleh rerata ukuran panjang 8,46-28,29 cm dan rerata berat 8,47-279,75 g. Hasil pengklasifikasian menunjukkan tangkapan dominan berasal dari Ordo Perciformes dan famili Carangidae dan Scrombidae. Laju tangkap (CPUE) jaring purse seine memiliki nilai kisaran antara 0,87-5,60 kg/menit, dengan setting dan hauling optimum selama 56 menit. Analisis data menunjukkan waktu saat setting dan hauling mempengaruhi jumlah hasil tangkapan sebesar 66 %.
Abstract The aim of this research was to find out composition of fish and catch per unit effort of purse seine. The research was conducted from July to September 2017 in the Bawean island. Fishes were captured using purse seine with a length of 270 m, depth about 60 m, and a mesh size of 1 inche. The total trips were 20 trips and 22 haulings. Fish samples were taken randomly from each net hauling. Each fish sample was measured their length, individual weight and total weight. The result showed that there were 16 species and 1 species of squid collected among trips. The most fish catches was scad (Decapterus macrosoma) as much as (29.73%), then selar bentong (Selar crumenophthalmus) (14.56%), mackerel (Atule mate) (7.89%), and sardine (Sardinella fimbriata) as much as (7.28%). The distribution of length and weight of the fish was dominanted by the average length 8,46-28,29 cm and the weight size 8,47-279,75 g. The classification results showed that the dominant catches was originated from the order of perciformes and the family of Carangidae and Scrombidae. The average of catch per unit effort was 0,87-5,6 kg/min, and the optimum effort was attained at 56 minutes. The data analysis showed the setting and hauling time were influenced the total capture by 66%.
